Ange
Sadly I do think EM has made an error in judgement, Ange is not the man for our club, I didn’t think he was and the results / performances have done little to make me think otherwise. After the off pitch problems at the start of the season I would’ve been happy with upper mid table, it’s still achievable but we need to change direction now, not wait until we’ve lost another 3 or 4 games. The players do not seem to be responding to the manager, he had an uphill battle to start with, he looks beaten, I can’t see him turning it round. As for the fans last night, whilst I don’t condone the chants I think it’s frustration after what should have been the best season we’ve had for years turn to dust. The chanting was a mirror of our society everywhere, angry and hateful. It’s just a shame it has spread to the football terraces.

"mirror of our society"

Ain't that the truth

Indeed it is.

What has Ange done to deserve that what happened to him last night?

It was just a football match for Gods sake.

I've been quiet and reserved jsudgement.
I have seen enough to know that he in not the man for this job.
The longer this goes on the worse it is going to get.
He has lost the fans and I expect very soon, if not already, the squad.

Look, I didn't want him and anyone who reads the forum will remember me posting that.

I would even like to see a new manager come in ASAP.

However that doesn't warrant that reaction that happened last night when we went 1-3 down.

I thought we had more class than that.

The reaction was absolutely gutter level, cesspit standard and nobody deserves that.

Fair enough.
Watching on TV I did not hear what the fans were chanting.
Just read about getting sacked in the morning, which is my sentiment.

I've always been someone who thinks "just give him a chance and see what happens" but it was a bit of a surprise to get someone in who plays a different style opposite to Nuno. But I would say EM won't give him too long especially if we keep losing and drawing games which after the investment made is understandable.

would like to see him go but who to replace him ? suspect hes here for a while yet

I appreciate that sniff did not want him and remember both your surprise and disappointment when it was announced.

But that is the problem is it not. The fans were sceptical about the appointment and based on the fact he was replacing our most successful manager in a generation, he would never be afforded much time. Add to this his first 6 games (with the exception of arsenal away) were not that difficult (on paper) and yet he's failed to win one of them would always ensure things would go south and quickly.

Yes... If he manages a shock win against Newcastle that would alleviate some of the pressure but he's got to do a lot to turn this around. Ultimately the only currency he can really operate in is winning football matches right now - if he can't do that then he has to go.

This club cannot afford relegation - it would undo all the work done by Marinakis, Cooper and Nuno.

But he tactically is probably the most naive manager I have seen in some time. Football isn't just about attacking it is about defending too.

That zonal marking setup is a joke, an absolute embarrassment. If you are going to go zonal then you have to block the runners to stop them getting a run and a free head at the ball. Our static defenders are not out jumping anybody with a run. It happens time and time again. Why on earth does he not use blockers if indeed we continue to go zonal.

Then when were static for the second ball they are already on the move do of course they are going to be the quickest to react for the second ball.

Ange famously said he does not work on set pieces and boy can we tell.

No way back from here when a ground turns like that. It was horrific to see and be a part of. I was just as embarrassed by that as I am the set piece defending. A total shambles.

Agree unfortunately and why I don’t buy into the individual mistakes, lack of desire narrative a few of you are pushing.

It'd be worse than that. We'd be doing a Leicester. We'd be bang in the shit if we got relegated with the squad we've got.

Yep deep mess which is why a certain ginger haired blunt speaking manager who happens to be out of work and lives locally is my choice. Actually think he would work well he has never had a team that has been backed financially.
