Cool heads need to prevail and the manager and team need to be supported in this "change" period.

He is not going to be sacked before he has even had 10 games in charge, all that these so called fans are doing are undermining the players and manager and making it even more difficult.

And then what if he is sacked, the next manager gets 6 games before we all start calling for them to be sacked as well ?

The performances of many players is sub par.  Morato is not a good defender, said that from the start.  Its no surprise when he has started under Nuno and Ange we have lost and ship goals.  And its why Nuno only used him as back up.  He is not a starter.

Our defence is a shambles as Murillo and Aina are injured and Williams is no longer on the left side.  If you cannot see that your blind.

Nuno screwed us by not putting Hutch into the EL squad.

The midfield looks good with Luiz in there and crap without.

So many things are wrong with the players themselves underperforming.

Agree with some of that but it begs the question about summer recruitment when we already knew our back ups were sub standard that we haven’t strengthened the defence. Jair looks to be 5th or 6th choice. Savona is one of the most bizarre picks here in a while.
Yes the injuries may explain some of it but as you say others are underperforming too.

I think the summer recruitment was focussed on attack and thats left us short on defence. That was a tactical decision as we needed more attacking players in. Savona looks out of his depth and Zinchenko is trying to find his match form still.

Its backfired yes and now we are weak in defence and struggling badly with these injuries.

Im not one to call for a change of manager but we do seem to have lost that organisation and discipline we had. The sheer numbers calling for Ange’s head worries me just not sure theres any coming back from it. Next 3 games Newcastle Chelsea Porto, do you see a result from any of them? Im worried.

Absolutely disagree. It is not rocket science to get distances right and pressing. We are pressing as individuals and leaving gaps everywhere. Someone said no lack of effort and I agree - but the players are running themselves into the ground as they are not helping each other in a structure. We started the match with our three defenders 20 yards apart from each other with massive gaps either side of morato. It was wide open. Easy for those cloggers to expose. I’m actually thought morato was decent (until the third goal). The ref didn’t help- so needless to book morato for what to me didn’t even look a foul then let the opposition kick seven bells out of Anderson and take his shirt off his back several times without as much as a free kick. When he did give one he stood in front of the ball and stopped our momentum- whilst letting them take any free kick freely. Very strange. But we didn’t lose due to the ref today- we lost because Ange can’t set a team up.

With Luiz in the middle we are a team that looks great.  With Sangare in the middle we look weak.

That is obvious to anyone who has watched the games.

Morato makes the defence weak.  We ship goals when he starts.

Ange has a near impossible task currently.

With Luiz injured and Murillo and Aina injured - and no decent replacement for Luiz........we are screwed.

Remember the last few games of last season - we are there again..........and thats with different managers.

Personally I think we played better today than we did under Nuno against Wet Sham.

Not sure what your point is. We were dreadful against West Ham. That is the lowest bar by which to judge any performance.

Two brief points before bedtime. Too late to read the previous pages so sorry if it’s been said already.

Firstly, I thought Morato Sangare and obviously Anderson were good tonight.
The problem with the first two is they need to be super quick to play Angeball. They aren’t.

Secondly, I couldn’t believe how quiet it was at the CG. I know I was in the BC upper, but even so…. The only songs they joined in with up there was the one calling to sack Ange, followed by singing Nuno’s song.

I’ve reluctantly conceded it may have been the right time for Nuno to go, as it was for cooper.
However, it’s only the right time if the new guy can help us make that next step and I’m just not sure Ange is that right guy.

I'm struggling to understand how Luiz, who's not played 90 minutes for us and wasn't here last year when we finished 7th is suddenly critical to our season. 

Morato is fine as a backup to Murillo, the backup full backs are admittedly atrocious (neither being an all out full back). 

That said Abbott can deputise RB as shown last season, in a set up where the players know what they are doing. You can't say we desperately need Luiz when we have Englands best number 6 FFS.

I don't understand it either... But here we are. Perhaps it is because last season we played a tactic that worked to our strengths whereas this season we are playing a tactic that the manager thinks is the only way to play. Thats pragmatism Vs idealism and generally pragmatism always wins
