We had no pre-season (remember all those posts made about not being able to score and not winning in pre-season ?? - or conveniently forgot those posts ??????????????)

Dominguez got subbed at half time and rightly so, he was play acting and got caught out.  No excuse.

We have to progress if we want to become a top six side, and that means some pain, without the pain there will be no gain.

The goal for this season is win the Europa League and stable mid table in the PL, whilst changing the style.  Then we become much stronger ahead. We should see us finish comfortable mid table by May next year.

Ange has had 5 games now, still going to be another volatile 5 games ahead before things then stabilise and we move forward.

You honestly think he gets another 5 games.  Regardless of results?
You think he survives dropping into the bottom 3 ?
No way.

He needs wins. Not in Europe, in the league

I do, yes.

FFS The togetherness had gone before Ange. Lots of new players of varying degrees of talent had come in - before Ange. Taken as a mid-term trend, we were on a downhill spiral before Ange. Add to that half of our first choice defence is out. So yes, I think he gets way more than five games.

I do, yes.

Fair play mate I wish I had your optimism.
Personally think we’re toast and quite possibly in a relegation battle that I’m not sure we are equipped to win given the managers available.

He can’t set up a team to be balanced. Let’s see in May…

I don’t think it’s necessarily optimistic to think we aren’t in a relegation battle after six games. But that’s what a forum is all about, right? Sharing our opinions, respecting the views of our fellow fans, and hoping for the best (or not).

The question is not does he get another 5 games, its does he get another 5 games if we don't win one?!

Say we lost to Newcastle, drew with Chelsea and lost to Bournemouth. Not unexpected results but is he getting through that?

I can see the Mcleish comparison, an appointment that no-one really wanted and made little sense. A.squad that doesn't suit how he tends to set his teams up to play. That was Fawaz though, not sure I see EM sacking his mate so fast.

Certainly not feeling like a fun season right now.

I guess it’s a matter of perspective. I think it’s fun to be in the EPL and it’s even more fun to be in the Europa League.sure, results don’t always go our way. But sometimes we get to see some amazing stuff. Maybe I’m just easy to please.

Absolutely mate.
But you make it sound like it’s a project going forward.

It isn’t . Ange told us it wasn’t. He said it would start against Swansea.
Well , we are still waiting.
Don’t get me wrong I would love him to get time and turn it around but I don’t see how he survives with no wins and dropping into the bottom 3.
Every game that goes buy without a win puts more pressure on the next fixture and then the next one

I didn't particularly enjoy either of the first two seasons back in the PL personally aside from the ending. Was just stressful and lots of losing. This year feels like its heading towards those so far. Hopefully we can sneak some wins somehow and rebuild.

Sorry my bad then. I meant to give the impression not that he’s taken over a project going forward, but that he’s taken over a bit of a shit show that needs sorting out.

I personally think we’re generally playing better and tbh if Wood was last season’s 1-in-3 wonder, then things would be looking a bit different. But he isn’t and they aren’t and time will tell.
