Perhaps not a defender for high line defending . Maybe he's trying to prove a point

Is the point that we should be starting Savona or Cunha instead of him?  :Funny:

Where we’re going, who needs centre backs!?

Attacking's the new defending.

Probably the end of MGW's hopes of going world cup tbf. Just so many ahead of him

Looks like Aina is the only casualty.

And Milenkovic will get a nice break over the next international window.

I would like to apologise for tempting fate earlier. I will not be tempting it again.

Doesn't mean he can't get ahead of some of them with a good season under Ange. Bang in 15 goals and I'm sure he'll be on the plane.

Must hurt being usurped by your teammate though!

But when we come to sell the two of them we'll probably receive a bigger fee for Anderson than MGW.

Palmer, Bellingham, Foden (for no reason), Eze and now Rogers. It's a big ask to get ahead of that lot

Yeah you're right, just a crowded market place for what is basically just one position. Maybe he could push to be the backup to Rice position (assuming Anderson maintains playing the deepest CM role). If Ange is playing 433, then MGW will be playing a slightly deeper role anyway.

If Anderson’s position is his to lose after 2 man of the match performances then it would be in MGW’s interests to build that relationship up to perhaps be rice’s understudy

Yeah that would be my pitch if I was Morgan, that I can also play the Rice midfield role if Anderson is deeper. (And I’m team mates with Anderson…). Whereas those other guys for the ‘10’ role you wouldn’t want to rely on for a proper shift in midfield.

Seems Tuchel has made his mind up though, didn’t even give him 10 minutes yesterday even when he took Rice off. Gonna take a very impressive season from GW it seems to jump up the pecking order.

Anderson and MGW both called up to latest England squads. Quite surprised about the latter as he's been far from his best.
