Evangelos Marinakis And Co
I can understand why there may be some scepticism when it comes to Dan Taylor as he does tend to only appear when there is something negative to write about. That said we do it seems frequently give him and others plenty of ammunition. To be fair though I did read his initial article following Nuno’s press conference last week as quite positive towards the club, EM and Edu and putting the emphasis of blame firmly on Nuno. I suppose there is always one exception to the norm and probably won’t be long before he reverts to normal.

How Evangelis Marinakis Proved Me Wrong By Getting Nottingham Forest Back In The Premier League And Back In Europe.

He might then get some respect back from me and the others who have lost respect for him.

He has written many complementary articles, unfortunately because he has gone in heavy previously you no longer accept it. For the record most of his anger at the current regime was aimed squarely at Vrentzos. He was absolutely correct about the way we were heading at the time, 4 years ago today we were staring League 1 in the face.
Again, this club gives the media far too much to write about, they will always pick up on negative stories ahead of positive ones, thats how journalists are wired. Probably the only exception to that rule in the football world is Henry Winter.

If you think Ive gone soft on Taylor you are correct simply because he was the only journalist to call out Al Hasawi and the damage he was doing to the club. Nobody else wanted to hear it, national media not interested as we were irrelevant, Forest fans didn’t want to hear it because they called him Uncle Fawaz boss on Twitter.
Taylor was definitely over sceptical about EM to begin with and there was one particular rant on Twitter that was at best ill advised but since promotion he has been pretty consistent and level headed. None of us predicted last season’s success.

More in Brazilian press yesterday about Botafogo becoming part of EM's stable of clubs. Which could be good as that would mean more for Edu to do to keep him out of Nuno's hair. Well, beard.

Botofogos finances are a mess at the moment with court cases and injunctions and God knows what.

EM just sitting in the background and waiting for it all to be resolved.

Then he will decide whether to add Botofogo to his empire or to invest in an academy project at a club like San Paolo.
