Crystal Palace - Nottingham Forest
Brilliant goal. I thought Ndoye was pretty poor 1st half, but what an assist and what a finish.

Slight scare with the offside/pen aside, only one team looked like winning it.

What a difference that bench vs last year’s will make.

Selection headaches incoming. And that’s a very good sign.

Watched the game in the Alps with no commentary so unbiased view.

Can’t comment on his positioning in the game, but Sangare’s first touch passes time and time again were imperious. Different level.

TV was too small to comment whether the other aspects of his game were up to scratch.

New boys still feeling their way but great potential for this squad when it gels.

Over 50% possession again.

No PL win when behind at half time since 1997 is an absolute belter of a stat

Happy with that overall, need the newcomers to bed in and I reckon we have at least a competitive team.

Wood, who then gave it to Yates when he went off

I honestly thought Sangare was dreadful, he just can’t compete at this level when faced with better quality.

I fear that Nuno will stick with him though.

He was a bit iffy first half but played well in the second half .

The balls goes through the areas of the pitch that he occupies way too easy and he’s not fast enough to track back once he’s caught beyond it.

It’s ok looking good pre season when the games are being played at 1/3 the pace but it’s just not good enough for this level.
