Wissa has gone full strop now. Kinda glad we've not pursued that deal:

BREAKING: Yoane Wissa has unfollowed Brentford, changed his profile picture to black and removed all club photos from his Instagram account as he looks to leave the club.

Wissa's move to Newcastle is currently being blocked by Brentford, as exclusively revealed earlier with @alex_crook. The 28-year-old is unhappy Brentford won't now engage over a sale unless a £60m+ valuation is met despite informing Wissa a few weeks ago they would entertain a sale. Wissa was also told a year ago he could leave for £26m (€30m) after committing to last season following Ivan Toney's departure to Al-Ahli.

Brentford insist Dango Ouattara is a Bryan Mbeumo replacement and for a Wissa exit to happen, another forward must be added as well as their high valuation met.?

I'm interested to see how Newcastle fans react to Wissa given he is acting identically to Isak. The situations really are identical just with a weaker team.

Was just reading a few of their fans' comments and to be fair they were mostly saying they don't like that behaviour just as they don't like it from Isak.

Both player and club could be in the shit with this. If Newcastle don’t cough up they will be stuck with a player who has downed tools. Not convinced anyone is going to pay that kind of money for a 29 year old. Newcastle themselves have one player on strike, presumably they dont want another with that kind of attitude. Can see him leaving at the end of the window for a relatively low fee.

You really feel Brentford will have to take a lower amount it’s gonna hurt their season which is already off to a bad start take 30-40 for him and get someone in focussed on the job

Leeds 1-0 up vs. Everton. Both teams look garbage.

There's a lot you can take from opening fixtures but one thing you cant is the winning result of promoted teams at home.

Both very poor sides, Everton are shocking though.

Can't remember how long it took the promoted teams to reach six points last season.

Took until the 5th match day - Leicester 3 PTS, Ipswich 3pts and Southampton 1 PT. I don't think any of them had won though
