The article 5 tests are unchanged in the latest regulations.  The addition was the March 1st deadline for compliance. The letter from CFCB was not setting the rules, but clarifying to clubs the criteria they would use to measure compliance against tests in the rules - tests which have not changed since that letter.

When year old “clarification” is completely different to that which is in the rules then there has been no clarification at all. There’s been misleading guidance that any competent lawyer would tear to shreds. 

Can I respectfully suggest you reread the rules, objectively and without red glasses on. 

I am not a Palace “fan”! I am a football fan who admires what Palace have done in recent years and was delighted for them when they won the cup. I like the stand Parish has made against multi club ownership and corruption in football. Seeing them cheated of their prize is offensive, not just to their fans but to every genuine football fan.

If your not a Palace fan then I'll buy a season ticket at Notts County.

And it’s a peculiar ‘stand’ against multi club ownership to sell 40% of your shares to the owner of another club.

The March 1st deadline was compromised for both Lyon and Olympiacos. If for them, why not for everyone? 

Only complete disclosure of all correspondence will clarify and that, I am sure, will be demanded by Palace and expected by CAS.

There’s nothing the least ambiguous about the rules. Read them! They might be daft, but they are clear.

Textor’s first purchase in Europe was in Palace. Lyon came later. He was regarded by the club as an investor and not as a potential new owner. Parish has no interest in just selling the club. He is primarily a fan who is devoted to its success. So Textor’s voting rights were capped at 25%. That he wanted to set up a multi club business is true but so is that Parish and the other Directors weren’t. Hence Textor taking his profit and moving on.
