I do think Evangelos Marinakis is an amazingly successful and ambitious owner, he also has a profound Phianthropic philosophy as well, I would definitely conclude NFFC is in very safe hands, this won't just be about achieving a trophy or PL, I am convinced Marinakis is very much into club identity and values and youth and academy and contributing to NFFC and all associated youth, sport, success related visions potentially on an unprecedented scale

He went to school in Chester and spends much of his time in London, he does have a strong connection with England

I was concerned at the start and extremely sceptical and 'where there is smoke there is fire' (lol) type negativity but I've read up on him initially inspired by his investment and involvement to date etc.

Any Evangelos I apologise for my negative concerns and understand that you are involved in very high level political and economical struggles which often play out at the highest level of football in Greece and there are some shady characters and adversaries you are up against, full admiration buddy.

A couple of articles about Evangelos Marinakis, anyone concerned about the heritage, traditions and academy, I personally believe they couldn't be in better hands, just my opinion

Invested nearly £30million in transfer fees this summer alone.
Overhauled the deadwood.
Employed a great manager.
Employed great backroom staff.
Slashed season card prices & sold over 20,000 season cards.
Given us our Forest back and made us proud again.

Not a bad start  :D

The Mail apologised for the article and paid an out of court fee to Mr. Marinakis that he very kindly gave to charity.

A new business deal for Mr. Marinakis worth 1.65 Billion Dollars!!

Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is involved in a mega shipping deal understood to be worth $1.65bn.

It has been announced that Marinakis' shipping company, Capital Product Partners, will merge with Diamond S Shipping, creating one of the world’s largest tanker companies.

The companies jointly announced the deal on Wednesday.

It is believed Diamond will contribute 43 tankers to the new company - 31 medium-range (MR) product tankers and 12 suezmax tankers - and Capital will contribute 21 MRs, three suezmaxes and one aframax/product tanker.

The transaction will create the third largest listed products fleet in the world, and one of the largest mixed fleets, the companies said.

The new company will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange and headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut.

"We are excited about this transaction," said Gerasimos Kalogiratos, director and chief executive of Capital.

The merger of Marinakis-led Capital Product Partners and Diamond Shipping, whose main shareholders are funds affiliated with WL Ross & Co. LLC of Wilbur L Ross Jr, the Current United States Secretary of Commerce, underlines the status of Marinakis in the shipping and capital markets.

Overall the new owners have good.

Off field structure, engaged fans, good investment and new Main Stand about to be announced.

The Karanka affair is not all one sided at all. AK has history of petulance and EM tried to convince he to stay. In fact AK had tried to resign previously and it wasnt accepted.

I accept we need to get better in our recruitment strategy, but these things take time.

We are also moving forward on the pitch, probably just not quite quickly enough.

But it is what it is, and I back them 100% to get it right in the end.
