Not based on anything other than opinion but I think EM will see this season as a missed opportunity rather than an incredible progression (it's both) and give Nuno the boot.

Who he'd think could take us to the next level then becomes the question.

Yep, EM's a seriously ambitious guy. Definitely he thinks we've blown it. 

Just hope for Nuno he backs him with players rather than doing anything rash.

I would have thought that Nuno would know the outcome of this result after the Leicester match. There’s a chance that he was told that Champions League is the minimum requirement. EM will have a replacement lined up if that is his plan. If it comes to this then Nuno has been a victim of his own success, even if it earns him a decent payday in Saudi

It's inevitable what happens next, regardless of what some will say, we were 10 points clearly, champions league was in our grasp, now we're in relegation form, most managers get questioned with our form

Needs to get us playing how he did first half of the season, and have a plan b, and bring on attacking subs first instead of CDMs

He never had a plan B because we don’t have the squad to have a plan B. Plan A is counter attacking, hitting on the break and pinching the first goal. Thats what worked but when we stopped over performing we regressed to our natural level.

Nuno has definitely over performed the season as a whole but his game management has been suspect on occasion and was catastrophic against Leicester. We will see if EM is forgiving, he may say he wants to keep Nuno but I suspect Marco Silva’s phone has received a few messages from him recently.

This is it, the main possible options are Silva, Frank, Areola and Nuno beat all of them this year with arguably weaker or similar level of squad. 

My prediction is everything calms down and we stay as we are. Pressure will be on though to have a good start and make sure we win that qualifier in the Conference League!

Watching Newcastle/Palace/Spurs, for me next year's target should be to win one of the 3 cups we'll be in above the league. If Champions League is in play again then sure but realistically if it's a case of competing for 7th or competing for 12th but winning a trophy, I know what I'd choose.

Nuno Espirito Santo has the full backing of Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis and will be provided with funds to build a squad for Europe next season.
Marinakis held talks with Nuno last night, after Forest’s 1-0 home defeat by Chelsea, which ended any lingering hopes of Champions League qualification, to discuss plans for the 2025-26 campaign. Forest will compete in the Conference League next season, yet there was an air of disappointment after spending 162 days in the top five from December to April.
The home defeat by Chelsea was their fourth straight match at the City Ground without a win, in a sequence that has also included losses against Everton and Brentford.
However, Marinakis has made it clear that the Portuguese is at the club to stay and discussions are expected to advance over a new contract.
Nuno is also hoping to sign at least five new players this summer, though the future of Morgan Gibbs-white is uncertain, with Manchester City expected to table a bid soon.
