The season has brought individual success for lots of our players who have made milestones.

Overall the season has been a failure.

Finishing 7th in the Premier league a failure? Wow. We could have finished better but the progress is clear to see.

What was your pre season prediction before a ball was kicked out of interest?

A few things to mention, the unbelievable historic wins and I've been fortunate to have a season ticket to watch the team improve and the milestones mentioned above.

I also don't like the Americanisation of the modern game and recently said I'd happily not play in the CL. Chasing Europe doesn't do it for me. I'd rather not be in it next season. It's a farce how many teams qualify.

My pre season prediction was around 15th I think although I can't remember.  

However the consequences of our decline and subsequent bottle job deem the season a failure. It means a lot more players will be knocking on the door asking to leave. 

I predict instability and lots of transfers. So not holding on to what we maintained for half the season could have long term implications on how we compete in the league.

Putting my own preferences aside we really needed Europa minimum to have the player pull to compete at the level most people want. Players and fans.

Our best players this season were all signed when we were in or had been around the relegation zone.

Now we are an established PL club again and back in Europe.

No reason why we can't attract some very good players to the club.

Even if we made it to the CL we were never going to be competing for players with Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Real, Barcelona PSG etc etc.

Yes disappointed as I am with what could have been, we are a more attractive proposition than 12 months ago. Hopefully the owners and coach can sell another year of progression to the targets. Wonder if Villa or Man Utd have to sell, can we pick up another Anderson type signing to kick things off.

It was the same lap of honour we have done the last 2 seasons, just grated this time the way it ended on disappointment (which is weird since we finished 7th) rather than the relief of survival.

Last 2 seasons we made Palace and Burnley wait half an hour for their own lap of appreciation so we can hardly blame Chelsea for doing the same. Thought they managed the game well yesterday without resorting to blatant cheating, their own delight at the end showed how tough it was.
