We'll be seeded, so we'll play an unseeded team. In previous seasons;
Tottenham v Pacos de Ferreira
West Ham v Viborg
Villa v Hibs
Chelsea v Servette

Looking at some of the teams we could play, the likes of Zagreb, alkmaar, sparta prague would be worst case scenarios at this stage... perhaps drawing Lithuanian giants banga would be our best hope

The draw for the play offs is August 5th so a long summer of watching European qualifying by any means necessary on the cards for me.
The first leg is 21st August second leg is 28th. Depending on how the 3rd qualifying round match goes we may know who we’re playing on the 7th August but their second leg is the 14th August.
Our opening league game is 16th/17th August. Would we want our second game of the season on the Sunday? Or if we’ve had to fly somewhere Monday? So if we were home for the second leg it would be less travel and i guess seeing as we’re not in the efl cup till the 3rd round it would give us more days of rest before the 3rd league game weekend of the 31st August.
This was Chelsea’s friendly schedule.
And this is how Chelsea’s fixtures fitted in the playoff games.
They did Sunday, Thursday, Sunday, Thursday, Sunday.

Some decent teams.
Panathinaikos could be tasty!
They are not in the Conference.
AEK are.
Fiorentina are in the Conference too.
The teams listed above are not accurate.
Panathinaikos are in the CL.

Pretty crazy that we'll be going into a European competition as one of the favourites. Yesterday f*****g sucks and it's pretty disappointing to have ended up in this competition. However what a chance to win our first trophy in my lifetime. Plus winning it is.a good route into Europe again next season.

You seem very confident about winning this thing. Not saying it isn’t possible but teams such as Fiorentina, Mainz, Strasbourg, AZ, Vallecano, Sparta Prague.
None are exactly Real Madrid but definitely not in the “we’ll steamroller this lot” category.
I do worry about the qualifier too particularly if we have a summer rebuild and the squad haven’t quite gelled. Wouldn’t fancy a trip to AEK needing to get a result.
Having said all that, we should manage to go a fair way in the tournament. I would have loved the CL and the level it would have taken the club to but realistically we would have got battered.

Hopeful more than confident. However, unlike the other competitions there's no Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal etc so we've got a much better chance in this than domestically.
The qualifier is the worst bit, having to spend the summer worrying about that. Definitely potential for it to go wrong.

It'd be great if we could do transfer business early to give newcomers as long as possible to settle in and give us the best possible chance of getting through the playoff.

Interesting how UEFA handle the Lyon and Palace situation.
Same ownership and both qualified for Europa League, and the deadline has passed for the necessary changes that would need to be made.
1 will need to play in Conference League unless UEFA have a different loop hole

Palace have certainly suggested they are confident in the media, definitely not a guarantee though. I suspect they'll find a loop hole but that said given EM divested in time it does make them look worse.

EM was immensely proud when Olympiakos won the Conference League last year.
They actually paraded the trophy all over the whole of the Greek mainland and it's islands.
They even took the trophy and paraded it in the USA and Australia.
That is what it meant to him and his club.
Once EM gets over the initial disappointment of missing out on a CL place he will be well up for winning his second European trophy make no mistake about that.
