Part of me agrees... although it is a million times better than the end of last season.
Just hope we secure a European spot today... and then I'll relax - even if its not champions league, European football would be great (although I'd prefer europa to conference - the name of that tournament is just rubbish)

I wouldn't be as fussed with the Conference League if you got straight into the league phase but you don't. It'd be just typical Forest to get into Europe and get knocked out before the competition proper. So, sorry Palace but I hope you don't win the FA Cup, just to give us that safety net of 7th being in the Europa League.
It'd also keep Bournemouth more interested in their game against Man City too.

Live the dream! I, for one, remember Millwall at home in Coops first game. The difference between now and then is practically the whole of Europe! We will get what we deserve (99.9% sure we will be in Europe)!

So anyone got any idea what result to support in this first game? I can see good arguments for all three results so maybe we can just relax and hope for a few red cards!

Well I did want Chelsea to win it, then beat Man Utd and they’re qualified ahead of playing us so long as Newcastle don’t beat Arsenal, with the Europa final 3 days later.
But ain’t nothing going our way is there!

An alternative argument though, is that if Newcastle win, it means we only need to beat either Leicester or West Ham to guarantee a shot at Chelsea on the final day.
Villa's win makes it much less likely Chelsea would be qualified by the final day now too.

Hey, there’s only 8 in goal difference between us and Chelsea. If Newcastle can get 5 and we put 5 past Leicester ours would be better!
