The Premier League 2024/25
I have been saying it for a while now and I have seen nothing to change my mind.

That last game of the season V Chelsea is gonna be the winner takes all.

We will do them.

I think Palace away is now our biggest obstacle. The way they blew Villa aside yesterday was really impressive. They really made Villa look poor.

On the other hand, they've not done great in the league since making the semi finals. Now that they've made the final, all there focus will be on that. We've seen teams lose focus on the league especially if they don't have much to play for - want to avoid injury etc.

Alternatively it could be a very different game if they are playing us in the final... but the above still would apply.

Personally I cannot look past Brentford especially considering how nervy our performance against Everton was at home.

If we get through those two games with 3 or 4 points, we'll be in a very strong position.

Bournemouth concede a late equaliser to Man U.

It would be one of the funniest things in the history of mankind if - after the nauseating build-up on Sky Sports - Spurs beat Liverpool today and stopped them winning the title at Anfield.

It won't happen of course, but still.

Yeah. That's not happening.

Big fixtures coming up this week. Beat Brentford and we all-but confirm some form of European football for next season. Even if we don't, the three teams outside the top seven all have difficult games.

We could do with two of them picking up points though as Fulham are at Villa and Brighton host Newcastle.

Chelsea host Liverpool so hopefully the latter won't let up and will want to amass as many points as possible.

Rashford expected to miss the rest of the season.

From David Ornstein on Twitter:

Marcus Rashford expected to miss rest of season with hamstring injury. No surgery + rehab at #AVFC as tests ongoing. #THFC game not totally ruled out but highly likely campaign over & 27yo to focus on getting fit for England games in June

Horrible to say it but I'm glad he's injured because I'm fed up with hearing his name. Rashford this, Rashford that, it's like he's prime Messi or something. He's got better since he went to Villa but I still wouldn't put him down as being a top prem player. He's not even Villa's best player.
