Disappointed though for the likes Of MGW, CHO and EA.

Their chance will come if they maintain their levels.

I’m with you completely on this.

It should spur the guys on as well to continue to perform and show they should be picked.

He must be gutted though. The problem is this sort of thing makes players think they have to be playing for one of the cartel 6 to get picked for England and makes them look for a move elsewhere

Isn’t that what happens when you appoint a manager with the sole remit of winning the next competition rather than thinking longer term?

Got to think MGW (and maybe Anderson) gets a token selection for the City Ground game in June

This is a fair point

The only danger with this selection is that MGW et al may think that a move away to a more expansive fashionable team will be needed to get a call up.

Ridiculous selections and really gutted for MGW in particular.

Suspect playing in the CL will help MGW if it was to happen with us.

Out of interest though, who are the players you think that have got in ahead of him by playing for a more fashionable team?

Quansah ahead of Branthwaite is probably the only one I can really see that fits that bill (and that is a weird one).

Foden - he does not deserve to be called up based on this season's form.

Or any England performance, ever.

I've been one to pour damp water on the MGW for england talk last season as at the time Palmer, Foden, Maddison (who was good last year, less this this) and even Eze were ahead of him at a 10 for the Euros.

This season though whilst Palmer currently going through a bad patch as he should cos he's 22 Foden has not done anything in either a city or england shirt to warrant being in that squad, Maddison has fallen off a cliff so there is a spot for him.

and in a central midfield crisis the answer is Anderson not Henderson

We should never have appointed Tuchel anyway. He’s a tedious coach playing tedious football. But more importantly he isn’t English and this is the national team. I know a foreign coach is allowed under the rules but it goes against the whole point of a national team for me.

Will always agree with this, its a national team, the best players and coach from that country.

I am sorry but Tuchel's comments don't make sense

Lewis-Skelly picked because he plays for the 2nd best team in the league

So What about the 3rd best team in the league?
