Bad news for us I suspect.

They were terrible yesterday and lost Stones to what looks like a muscle injury. Yes of course they were playing top class opposition but seeing how bad they were I think it'd be foolish to assume they'll just steamroller us and everyone else in the league for the rest of the season.

Since the beginning pf their collapse this season they've consistently lost the big games against the top sides. But, that's not to say they wont be able to now push on in the prem where the opposition is lesser. They'll probably outperform our results now until the season end.

I'm not so sure. They have been garbage in a lot of games. I really don't think they will fancy coming to the WFCG any time soon!! Annoyingly, their result against us was a complete anomaly compared to the rest of their results around that time. Chris Wood, love the guy but he really should have stuck that 1 v 1 away to get us level, after which likelihood was they would implode and we'd go on to win.

I genuinely believe we go into the Arsenal and City games as at least joint favourite with them as we're at home. I think we have a very good chance of shutting Arsenal out with all their attacking injuries (need to seriously watch them on set pieces though) and City are so susceptible on the break with a keeper (or both actually) who look pretty low on confidence. They lost Stones again too.

Newcastle is probably the harder one in my opinion, but I really do think they miss Joelinton and their recent results back that up.

Marmoush aside their other two new signings looked way off it last night. Again that was partly due to the quality of the opposition but Gonzalez won't fancy Gibbs-White and Anderson running past him at pace and Khusanov can definitely be got at. They've also got no Akanji and likely Stones for a while. Gundogan and KDB aren't what they were and Haaland may not even be fit (he didn't get off the bench yesterday). They're definitely not the force they have been.

Don't think City going out affects the 5th CL spot does it?

Liverpool, Arsenal and Villa all still in it.

A few Italian teams got knocked out which helped us a lot apparently.

We still have 6 out of 7 teams left in (Man City out). Italy in 3rd only have 4 and Germany still have 5 but in lower competitions.

It's not settled yet but it's pretty likely we get a 5th spot. This is according to a quick google.

AC Milan went out too and Italy were one of the other main challengers so that should cancel out.

England still top

Not sure which table it is that's relevant.

Tough draw for Liverpool. Shame as if they go out they can concentrate on the league. I haven’t given up yet :)

Well yeah, except they have to go to Belgium. Is it still safe to play there? I remember they weren’t able to play Israel at home in the Nations league.

Villa - Liverpool in the quarter finals if they both get through the next round (the pairings have already been made).
