Unpopular opinion but...
I think Williams has nailed down LB spot for next few years. Defensively very good-shut down Salah and Mitoma in recent weeks. Tidy on the ball and very good in air for a full back. Steady going forward and gives nice balance (assuming Aina stays). With Inverted Wingers being all the rage he is ideal to stop left footed right wingers.
Frank Clark and Kenny Swain did pretty well as Right footed left backs.

Don't think that is an unpopular opinion. He has developed into a very reliable player and deserves to stay. Worth a lot more than what we paid for him imo

The thing with sangare is that he hasn't stayed fit long enough to properly acclimatise to the league. Let's face it, he has barely been fit since afcom last january

That is the key.
Staying fit and getting a run of games under his belt.
We should then see the best of him.

I recall at the beginning of the season we were all complimentary about his performances.

Sangare just needs a run of games now he is fit again.
We have to remember, Neco Williams was useless and Liverpool had our pants down, just like Chris Wood was useless and Newcastle had our pants down......until of course they settled down and started playing well - now everyone loves them.
Sangare could be another who settles and shines for us later this season and next.

He did look vastly improved on last season but I don't think we have seen the best of him yet though.
