Abbot on the bench. The record has value for the club.

It's just the bench. He has not featured at all this season. Hudson Odoi must have pucked up a knock, he's the only other player left.

Is moreno being recalled I wonder?

One of MGW, Anderson or Domi will play wide left then. Whoever it is will probably fill in centrally to match up with their midfield three, who offer energy and running but not much creativity

I'm sure someone suggested he was one appearance from triggering a permanent move. Maybe that's impacting it too.

Im in full agreement. If all you care about is winning a football match go and support Liverpool.
This record is part of the club’s identity and what sets us apart. It’s important. One day out of necessity it may come to an end and that’s fine but if we can preserve it, it means something.

Delighted we have a manager and owner who recognises this sort of thing, most don’t.

Moreno is a good player - unless we have better lined up?

I would be surprised if that were true.
It was a season-long loan with an option to buy.
Do villa have the right of recall in such deals? Again I’m not sure. But maybe.
The most obvious answer is usually the right one and I guess it’s a niggle.
However we have been linked with three different left backs this week so it’s something to keep an eye on.

Let’s just hope we don’t have 2 CB’s go down in the first 11 minutes….
