I know we’ve got a good backroom staff, but I hope some of the players aren’t too knackered. They’re giving their all on the pitch at the moment, CHO can be seen icing his Achilles and it was either the Brentford or spurs game aina dropped to the ground on the final whistle. Their recovery plans will be personalised and obviously carefully followed but does tomorrow come to early for one or two? Maybe jota for CHO?

Thankfully Nuno has a great team of medics and sports scientists and alanlysts who have every piece of data going on all the players and there capabilities. Nuno will know what he is doing.

One more full strength team before the F.A. Cup where we can bring out the players hungry for action. I think Taiwo will be playing against Luton. I kind of would have liked him in this game to soften up Tarkowski a bit but I suspect gthe only change will be the Dom coming in for Yatesy.

We still have to concentrate all of our efforts on the league, that has to be priority, especially if we do harbour ambitions to qualify for Europe next season. Taiwo is lacking confidence at the minute, so would it not be more beneficial to start him against a lower league side, technically on paper, not as good as we are and hope he can find some form, confidence and the back of the net? Plus, we get a decent rest period between today and the Wolves game, so Wood will get a decent rest in between these two games before Luton. CHO is a difficult one. Last week, he was awesome. Would it be the right thing to rest him if he is in a vein of rich form? Or do we use him on 60 minutes, with fresh legs and pace to get at a tiring Everton defence? uhmmmm, I'm glad I'm not Nuno having to make that call.

It’s vital that we score first. Barring the Man City game, Everton generally struggle when they go behind. I’d stick with the system from the Brentford game, though it wouldn’t surprise me if Nuno starts out more on the front foot with 3 behind Wood

I’d give Taiwo a run out today, he looked sharp when he came on against Spurs and Wood must be knackered, especially with the international travelling
If ever there was a team in the PL to play 3 CB’s against, then it’s Everton.
Especially when Yates is out.

I would start with the same team/formation as we did at Brentford. Wouldn't be totally against Awoniyi starting and Wood having a rest though!

There's a normal gap between games after today.

I’m adding my vote to including an academy graduate to the bench fwiw.
I’m interested to see how we approach this. Lack of width seemed a big factor in arsenal, Chelsea and Man City struggling to break Everton down. Specifically while they might have picked wingers, they didn’t use fullbacks to overlap with them, instead Everton being allowed to double up on them. Hitting them quickly and with fullbacks providing attacking support could be key. Apparently Ndiaye and McNeil are doubts, though pinch of salt and all that. But will be interesting to see how we approach it.

In one of the videos after the spurs match you can see CHO has ice on his Achilles, now this might be what he does after every game because of the old injury who knows
