Promotion is out now i'm afraid. in order to reach the normal points total of 70 for 6th place we will need to win 11 out of 18 games. our best record for wins in a row this season is 2.

The worst team I have seen in the flesh is Hull.

They were woeful and looked a certainty for relegation.

If they can win 6 on the bounce, then so can any team in this league.

Not saying we will, but it’s far from impossible

Only won consecutive league games once this season. That needs to change ASAP, which isn't going to be easy as games following Wigan are tricky (Birmingham away, Brentford home, West Brom away, PNE away, Derby home).

We need to go on a good run.

Hull have done it, Man. United are doing it (in a different league), we did it ourselves when we got promoted from League 1, Fulham did it last year, Reading did it a few season's ago.

So yes, it IS still possible but we have to win today.

Exactly right SD. Possible, yes. Likely, maybe not.

the season is still alive, odds stacked heavily against us getting top 6, feels far too much pressure to win a game, a win today would feel like a huge stratospheric surge of euphoria, a loss will feel quite soul destroying and where do we go from here?

44th minute Wigan score by a freak 3 fold deflection, HT, a figure parachutes in, lands on the centre circle, it's Keane, the partnership is reunited, the whole squad urgently assemble, M o N has that look, in fact no one speaks, Roy just stares, no need for words.  FT Forest 11 Wigan 1
