I heard from a reliable source he was offered the job twice and turned us down twice last season.
Ive always detested the bloke not an ounce of humour, horrible negative and niggly football and it showed today, the tackle on MGW from behind was borderline red, Yates had his head stood on too. Delighted we stuffed them and delighted we got Nuno instead
Lopetegui was hanging around in England post Wolves, thinking that he was suited to dominating English football due to his self-proclaimed tactical genius. I love that we’re proving people wrong who turned us down. Lopetegui, Mavropanos, Trevoh Chalobah. Long may it continue!
Some players will be having some words with their agents about the decisions they made after seeing how we've looked.

Cracking result, very convincing win. Good performances all over the pitch. Really pleased for Elanga who has been getting the statutory over the top stick in some quarters. Dominguez my MOTM, but wouldn't argue with any of the rest. Sels was practically given the day off.
Loved singing "We're gonna win the league" for 1st time in many many years.
Momentum is with us. Avoid key injuries and don't sell anyone in January and we will be looking very good indeed.

If we can keep up the current form, we might be able to keep Murillo until summer as he will want to stay and fend off any January offers.
For sure if we are where we are currently in January the big six will try to steal players from us to upset us and kill our momentum to get us out of Euro places. The flip side is that if they try, we will get at least 80m for Murillo.
I just wish that Sosa shot had gone in at the end, that would have been icing on the cake.

Sels: did he have anything to do? 7 for decent distribution
Aina: name a better right back 1:1 defender? Wonderful goal- 9
Milenkovic: majestic. Unlucky not to score. 9
Murillo: maturing- everyone wants him to do the wonderful but he is now more considered. 8.5
Moreno: excellent again. A proper left back with a bit of class- great assist. 9
Yates: dominant again- unlucky and still don’t think he was offside. 8
