Long article just landed on The Athletic about how Marinakis is suing a number of people and organisations for libel and accusing them of running a smear campaign against him.

Interesting read actually. Nothing in the article slagging him off, just giving details of the people and businesses being sued and what they're accused of doing.

If what's alleged is true, that's some way to get a revenge - hiring a plane to fly over a stadium, creating a website, youtube channel & twitter account, and having a mobile billboard driving around Nottingham all with the aim of disseminating smears and untruths. It's crazy stuff.

Reading the latest write up of the court case. It is a totally and utterly bizarre rift between warring billionaires and quite beyond our comprehension. People name checked are former CEO Vrentzos and boxing champion Floyd Mayweather. If even 1% of this stuff is true it would make a great film.

Lets get this straight, EM is a good and extremely committed and generous owner of our football club as well as a successful businessman and philanthropist.

However this case says something about billionaires and a world they operate in which is totally alien to most of us. EM is more colourful than most and that’s probably also what has made him successful and also why he has racked up a host of enemies. However suspect he shares some similarities with most big club owners in that he is used to acting how he chooses and getting his way and when he doesn’t he goes for the jugular. Call it arrogance if you want, Its this attitude that has caused some of the overreactions we have had in terms of the infamous tweet and recent referee incident. He isnt going to change so we just need him to take a breath and step backwards on occasion.
