Sorry to be pedantic but it’s 8 weeks this weekend (17th Aug) !
My lad had exactly same injury playing football 2 yrs ago.
You are in the boot for 8 weeks, so he will be out of the boot imminently as long as the scans show up fine.

Then it’s just full weight bearing, walking, gentl jogging for a couple of weeks.
It will be 12 weeks before kicking a ball, and then another 4 weeks before full contact.
So he will prob be in full training early December.

I reckon Christmas / Early Jan until he is back in the squad

This isn't looking like MGW is going to be ready for the Palace game - or for any game for some time: https://www.instagram.com/p/DBMG_ovIgQe/

(for those who haven't seen the video it's him using crutches and wearing a protective boot).

Its a huge blow for us! As much as it's a great opportunity for others he is our best player.

I'm hoping this is all an elaborate set up to fool the palace team and assume he's injured.

MGW is out for Palace match. He hopes to be back for Leicester game but West Ham game looks most likely return.

He's never going to play the Leicester game. No way do you go from walking on crutches with a boot to playing in the premier league in 10 days.

Breaking: Nuno Espírito Santo has been given a 3-match touchline ban by the FA for misconduct (2 games for comments after Brighton game + extra game triggering suspended ban after Everton). Morgan Gibbs-White banned for 1 game for misconduct after dismissal at Brighton #nffc

MGW was out anyway, but it is a blow that Nuno ain't on the touchline.

Can MGW serve that ban vs Palace or does it have to be a game he is fit for?

Think that’s harsh on Nuno, far worse behaviour seen from other managers

Think he can serve it on Monday.

I go back to my comments on here a week or so ago. This indiscipline is costing us now.  Not having Nuno on the touchline or in the changing room for 3 games is a real loss for us. And the additional MGW ban would have been a huge loss had he not already have been injured. All because the people involved can't help but have tantrums when things dont go our way. The discipline comes from the top down. EM needs to calm down first and foremost, and then ask the rest of the staff to follow.
