Two points better than this time last season and two points better off against the same matches of last season. All going in right direction. But next three games are all against teams below us. Two you would consider mid table and one relegation candidate. So 6 points is definitely possible.

For information the bottom three this season have less combined points than last season. With only sheff utd having one point at this stage.

Against Liverpool and Chelsea both away I was thinking to myself 'we've got this'.

At no point in either game did I think we were in trouble.
I did v Brighton for the last 15 minutes of the 1st half, I could see it coming... but then in the 2nd half I felt better about it.

You can see it in the players, they may not have the ball but they are controlling proceedings.

Think it's taking the plastic Twitter fans a bit longer to realise this.

The amount of 'pray for Forest' tweets before the Liverpool match and yesterday was ridiculous, and practically every prediction I saw for both matches was a home win by at least two goals.

Very happy to say that all those predictions aged appallingly.

Just shows you how it’s impossible to predict on a game by game basis.
If you had said we would get 10 points from 7 games.

Everybody would have said 7 points from the 3 homes games, beat Southampton and lose to Liverpool, Chelsea and Brighton.

Nobody would have thought 8 points from those 4 away games were possible before a ball was kicked

Correct plus 2 points vs game 7 last season

Believe it or not from the 6 corresponding games last season (ignoring Southampton who we didn’t play) we are actually have exactly the same number of points.

They way we compete now rather than hang on is clearly a different level though.

Apart from Fulham where we didn’t score, we’ve scored first in every league game so far this season, the flip side of that is we’re probably top of the table for most points lost from winning positions.

I doubt we even went 6 games out of 7 scoring first in the championship!

If it makes you feel better we are equal bottom of that illustrious table rather than absolute bottom.

A real test if we want to be that mid table team with these games. Chelsea is going going to be tough but the next three based on form we need to be coming away with properly 6 or 7 points.

I am looking at 7 points there.
