Chelsea - Nottingham Forest

Said pre season couldn't believe Chelsea considering letting Madueke leave with us and Newcastle interested. Lad is class. Palmer should have played more at Euros.

Anyway enough about them, US commentary which I'm sure a fair few of us caught suggested we have best defence in league? Even if not quite right that's some improvement

It is right, we have conceded the least amount of efforts on goal in the Prem, but that was before this game not sure after.

That second half was absolutely brilliant.

We are clearly progressing and proving that we belong alongside the elite.
Panic on the streets of Croydon, Derby, Sheffield, Leicestershire.

I assume it was Jackson
If he doesn’t get a ban then we know for sure it’s biased after all

Yes it was Jackson and it was caught on video, the Sun has already tweeted it.

Bloody hell rather him than me mate.

I know we are all past my dad's harder than your dad but if they want a straightener we had Santos, Boly and Taiwo on the bench.

Only one team coming out winners there

So so pleased with that, more so than I was about beating Liverpool.
We proved it wasn’t a fluke. Proved we can compete at the top level. Excellent game management.

Thing is finally we are getting some respect from the media, we are actually acknowledged as being a good team, tactically astute thats very hard to beat and threatening on the counter, throw in a bit of mixing the rough too.

Right just sort that home form out now. And of course hope MGW is OK.

Great away day once again. That game was very entertaining to watch tbh. They moan about a low block. But did we play with a low block. 34% possession 16 shots 9 on target.

JWP. Bad mistake but knew exactly what he was doing so fair play to him was leave it and concede or red card and earn us a point.
Matz Sels best game I’ve seen him have. That’s the standard he can play out hopefully he does it most games now.
Hopefully MGW injury isn’t too serious looked like a bad sprain. Hopefully his scan is positive tomorrow

It wasn’t low block, read the BBC match report

Are Forest most advanced defensive team in league?

Forest have taken a huge leap forward under Nuno Espirito Santo this season.
That 90 minutes could be painted as an example of everything the Premier League should be - as Forest competed manfully, physically and with incredible tactical nuance at Stamford Bridge.
They were previously seen as a low block, defensive team under Steve Cooper - and in the first season under the Portuguese - but they are now able to retain possession and press higher up the pitch, while still sitting off teams when needed.
There has been an evolution that has taken them to one of the best defensive records in the league - conceding fewer than Manchester City, with their rearguard action crucial to this result.
The one-on-one defending of Ola Aina was exceptional, the two centre-backs Milenkovic and Murilo are two of the most physically imposing in the league and Sels has solved the goalkeeping problems since promotion.
Between them, they managed to handle Ward-Prowse's red card in a masterclass of defending, wasting time and counter-attacking football that led to Williams and Jota Silva going close.

That was great. 10 hours in a car today and loved every minute of that. A better performance than Anfield IMHO given that Liverpool had an off day against us and today we stood up to the best attack in the premier league, dealt with all the adversity and went toe to toe with them.

Feeling very proud tonight.

Excellent performance and a good result.

Having been critical of Sels recently, he had a great game today and saved us a point.

JWP made the right decision, a sending off and a chance of keeping a draw is far better than their guy through 1 on 1 with our keeper.

Chelsea must be mad.

Who in their right minds wants to be taking on Miguel, Milenkovic and Morato!
