Brilliant win though.

Any of the Nuno haters missing their low block crap football from before Nuno?????

Whilst the overall gameplan was good and effective you cant convince me the first half tactics were anything other than low block.
What has changed is the ability to alter that style throughout the match and now we have players with sufficient ability to do so. It was a superb away performance without doubt, I do wonder how we would have coped if we had conceded first though.

Thankfully it didn't but if that goal goes in from Yates error it would have been a totally different game.

It was low block but what the hell do people expect. To go to Anfield and try to outplay them. There were two moments we lucked out on but both were from errors rather than Liverpool carving us open. Outside of the Yates and sels moments, we looked strong and unlikely to concede.

What I'm not surprised at is that ultimately we got very little analysis of our play. Shearers bit on Motd is about all I've seen. Everything else has been how badly Liverpool played - as if the opposition had nothing to do with it.

Shearer got it spot on his analysis of how we pressed their midfield and left no space was excellent. Nuno’s tactics today and substitutions were excellent and deserves praise when he gets it right ! We seemed happy to let them play wide Ola and Moreno excellent 1 v 1 against Salah and Diaz and when they did get beat we had Murillo covering and the absolute beast Milenkovic to deal with any crosses.
This Back 4 is absolutely Brilliant and we now have Good Backup too .
Sel’s still Not the one but still expect us to go Back for Samba or another in Jan .
Not MGWs best game on the ball agreed but we had less possession and he didn’t have outlets until nuno’s sub’s and his work rate off of it was incredible .
JWP did everything well quiet debut but sometimes its those performances that go unnoticed.
Love Jota hes going to be a Cult figure i can see it he has springs in his feet .

It wasn't low block at all, look at our average positions in the match, it was a mid-block and flood the midfield and it worked perfectly.

Low block is the devil's tactic but this new genius mid block sounds great.

It does sound similar to low block though, 30% possession, counter attacking, creating few chances. It's definitely different and therefore way better though and definitely not the same thing. Great tactic, I love it.

Excellent performance to nullify those weapons though. Great start to his Forest career for Moreno.

Low block or not, the performance yesterday was different to all the other good results we've had in the prem against the top teams. We showed a degree of control and composure whereas in the other games we desperately hung on to get the result.

Yesterday was just a single win but it's so significant in that for the first time really I'm getting the feeling we're a decent side amd other clubs will now regard us a difficult fixture.

4 away wins on the spin is not a fluke. JWP numbers make him the best player on the park yesterday and hardly got a mention anywhere. The mid - block and smothering of midfield was a master stroke- the reason McCallistar kept falling over was to get Yates booked first half to stop his effectiveness out of possession- glad decent ref didn’t buy it. Dominguez and Anderson ran further than anyone else on the field and they went off on 60 minutes or so. Wood was also tremendous in giving an outlet - giving the long option and relieving some pressure - enabling resets even if he didn’t always maintain possession. MGW off the ball running and energy helped in the goal. The back 4 though were amazing. Moreno and aina were on the whole magnificent and a special mention to Williams who carried on where Moreno left off. Milenkovic and Murillo - show me a more balanced centre half pairing -I’ll wait…
Liverpool manager and fans moaning at our tactics - inject those tears!

I think our back 4 now is up there with the rest of the top half teams . Milenkovic and Moreno have brought balance to the side . I wouldn’t swap our CH for any other teams bar Arsenal and City !! Ania although great at LB is excellent at RB . Moreno being Left footed will give us another dimension overlapping CHO or Sosa . Can’t believe all those pundits having us down as a relegation battle we bow look like a PL side . Woody excellent again Sels adequate they will be the positions we upgrade next no doubt.
Also please sort out Aina’s contract extension asap .

The team yesterday reminded me of the one in the last season of the Championship.

It’s not often that your entire back 4 is quicker and stronger than the front line of a top 4 side.
If we can keep them fit, we have a great base.

Only 2 goals conceded in 4 games
