Never had a shot under Nuno Sniff. Its plain to see the lad does have talent. If there's a squad place spare I'd give it to him.

May be wrong but isn’t the rule you can only name a squad of less than 25 (excluding u21s) if you have insufficient senior players to make up the numbers? So if we have a place left in the 25 Dennis (or another senior player) would have to be named irrespective of whether we plan to use them or not.

It is a max of 25.
But you can’t name less than 25, by excluding an over 21 yrs old player if you haven’t named 25

If I remember rightly, there was a suggestion at one point that Harry Arter might have made the 25 man squad previously by default due to the way the rules were structured
