So despite our little outburst NFFC voted to retain VAR today.

Have to say I am very disappointed we did so, its an awful system that will not be resolved by a few more on pitch announcements. Disappointed EM did not follow through on his principles and we have sided with the big clubs to preserve the self serving majority.

VAR is the problem because so many decisions remain subjective and when you have 6 officials you are multiplying the indecision by 6.

Anyway thats not my beef. Disappointed in EM, he made a post on social media that gained world wide attention with 50 million views. It was the start of something, an opportunity to change which Wolves then took on. But instead of following through he has backed out.

For me this then means the infamous tweet is reduced to an act of petulance, nothing more than a childish whinge with no action. Very disappointed.

How much better is the refereeing in the Euro tournament than in the Premier League last season? Even the use of VAR is so superior to the shambles that we and others had to go through
in 23/24. Just watched the Georgia v Chechia game that has some difficult decisions to be made and the Refereeing team did really well not for the first time during the tournament. The only poor performance that I can recall was Anthony Taylor in the Holland v France game. How he got to be a ref at this level God only knows. I've seen far better not only in Germany but in local football across Notts.

David Coote has done well so far but I think it just highlights that we have some really shit refs who are protected beyond justification. 

The PGMOL/should target a couple of these refs and their assistant teams to join the PGMOL and backdoor the 2/3 of our shockers. Even if we broker deals for them to have a couple of pre retirement seasons in the Australian league or something just f**k them off. 

The culture would soon change. Starting with Howard Webb.

Apparently there was only one VAR call that was made during the 3pm games and that was Chris woods offside.

Not sure why any of the calls from the other games weren’t made public on their Twitter account, I would especially like to know why wolves handball wasn’t an clear and obvious error by the ref or can’t you intervene with handballs any more?

It's testament to the ineptitude of the ref today that *both* sets of fans were baying for his blood by the end of the match. Almost impressively hopeless.

Ive had it with this pathetic system. I don’t care we've just had a goal disallowed, it was the correct decision. But why wasn’t it given immediately. Referees and linesman are scared to make any onfield decisions, they leave the whole thing to VAR. Ndoye was offside and it was bleeding obvious, nothing subjective about it. So why do we all wait for 5 minutes?
Useless, totally useless and killing the game as a spectacle.
