Depends who the clubs are. If we knew for definite Everton and Leicester were both going to fail then there's an argument to say yes.

Newcastle and Aston Villa, not so much.

Ground sponsorship is a very emotive subject though. I imagine a lot of fans would be out with the pitchforks if EM did that - even if it was for the benefit of the club.

TBF Saus, EM can call the ground whatever he wants..........He can call it the Marinakis Memorial stadium, the EM Shipping Stadium, he could call it Sylv's cafe for all I care.

Do wonder though that despite best laid plans it could go wrong. For example we agree £50m to Arsenal and it all falls through or for some reason doesn’t get completed in time. Or maybe there are just no concrete offers on the table. Wonder what happens in that scenario, expect another deduction.

In the end we were comfortable and without our deduction we would have finished 10 points clear. I never felt in danger once Nuno came in although I am convinced Coops would have took us down because the run we were on was tragic and he had lost the dressing room as we all saw at Fulham.

Also Sniff, the fixture list made it that we didn't play two of the most winnable games of the season right until the end of the season, meaning that our rivals banked the 6 points gained against Sheffield and Burnley earlier on and we had to wait. I think that had a bearing and certainly ramped up the pressure for us.

In fact it was 36 points without the deduction. That would have kept us in the league last year too.

Just stating facts mate. 

36 points is still f*****g dreadful, no matter which way you look at it. 

If we don’t get £20m profit through the door in the next 16 days then we’ll be hit with more than four points this time around.
