The issue is we had Brice here already. Instead we spent about £15m on loan fees and wages for last years two keepers then spent another £20m plus wages on the 3 we bought this year.
We could simply have given Brice the modest pay rise he wanted and dare I say it been a hell of a lot closer on our PSR limits. Its this sort of thing that irks me when people make excuses that we inevitably had to sign 40 players and spend £250m.

I think some were concerned whether he could cut it at the highest level but he’s performed well and consistently since he left us

He always had the ability, it was the temperament that was questionable. I go back to my earlier point, what's going through his head when city score their 6th last season? How's he coping with defeat after defeat after defeat? I reckon Cooper knew he wouldn't handle it.

I’m pretty sure that Cooper wanted him to stay.

Dont think its quite as black and white as that, I think he wanted No 1 status but we were already taking to Dean Henderson but certainly money a big factor also.

Should hope we won't be taking the purchase option up.

And to be honest from a purely footballing perspective his performances wouldn't warrant it anyway.

Agreed.

There were glimpses of a decent footballer and I’m sure he will do well somewhere else but hasn’t done enough to impress IMO.

She has been on the Forest Focus podcast a few times and she is a delight. She said she wanted to show Americans that the support for a football club in the UK is so different from the way the Americans support their different clubs and sports and the real passion of the supporters and the 'community' that is Forest.

Great scoop by Matt Davies but I'm not even going to watch it. At this stage it's all games between the club and the local government.

Excellent listen. Tom came over well.

Not to me, but then I do understand some of the nuances involved, such as wrapping up the £10m freehold issue into a £200m (part) stadium rebuild. I get that talks are ongoing but in isolation it’s still a good deal as it’s cheaper than the lease over time.

“FIFA compliance means the direction of the pitch has to be in a certain direction” did cause me to raise an eyebrow.

Personally I think they want a bigger footprint for the CG which will include current residential areas and presumably compulsory purchase orders made by the council. A bigger game is afoot, I believe.

Well I never knew that!

FIFA.com

The recommended main playing direction is approximately north (between 285° and 20°) / south, to minimise the effect of a setting sun on the players.

I'm leaning that way too.

One snippet from DTs q&a that probably goes under the radar but is very important.

He “hears really good things” about Pedro Ferreira. That is good news for this summer and beyond, he is a natural fit with Mendes and Nuno too.
