Depends on quite a lot of factors. If Nuno stays and we sell Gibbs-White, then I wouldn’t be surprised if we changed formation to a 5 at the back formation and didn’t go for a replacement number 10. I think we’re probably an attractive prospect for young players. We’ve launched the careers of Murillo and helped Gibbs-White reach the next level. We’ve also rejuvenated Hudson-Odoi and Elanga (to a lesser extent)

Does anyone know where we are going to be FFP wise really? We have more headroom with the 3 year rolling assessment with another year in the prem. We have Johnson and Mangala money to go into the calculation but they are going to change the system anyway I think. Also finally Arter will be off the books! I really have no idea..

I am really not into all this fianacial stuff and I have no idea how it all works but haven't we already blown the Johnson money on Sanagre or doesn't it work like that?

For me it's just simply make sure we don't fail FFP again, by whatever means necessary. Then once that is done we see what we have left and what we need/who we need to replace.

This is it for me as well wassy. We absolutely have to be compliant and within FFP.
We need coordination between finance and recruitment and not allowing one person to make deals without consent of all parties involved. I believe our recruitment has gotten a lot right recently tbf but as you say we can't fail FFP again. Because of this, we need to get our business done early (not only because of FFP but also so that we can have a settled, productive preseason). Also, because of the last few summer buying sprees, our preseasons have been absolute sh** shows because we often did our business late and players did not get a preseason to bed in. Those days need to be long gone.

No sniff Johnson was straight profit and the the fee for Sangare will be amortised over the length of his contract. Think it was 4 years wasn't it? So would 9m a year on the books pretty much.

That would be ideal Simon. I'd like to know what our amortisation costs are on our players. I know that one reason people talk of selling Murillo is that we can get a very nice fee but also because we only have I think, 9 mil in amortisation costs left on him.
