I wouldn't be suprised if there is at least one contentious VAR decision this weekend that impacts the relegation battle.
Sadly i doubt it would be in our favour.

Interesting.
I’m more in the camp of it being reformed. Take it away from the PGMOL, make them highly trained operatives employed by the prem league. We all know refs are looking out for their own and not wanting to throw mates and colleagues under the bus, with that separation it might not happen.

Would like to know more about the proposal, any alternative offered. Proposed by Wolves apparently so no surprise there.
Would like it to go but Im guessing it won’t. Should they abolish it the PL would be massively going against the global trend.
You have to think bigger picture too. The big clubs that play in Europe, will still have VAR in CL and Europa leagues. Not being used to VAR in their domestic competitions puts them at a disadvantage. No chance the top 8 vote to abolish.

Has to be two thirds majority.
How does the AGM work, do the 3 relegated teams still get a vote or is it the 3 promoted teams?

It's not so much var being bad but the way it being implemented that is bad.
For me more transparency and breaking up the old boys network among senior refs will help restore a bit more trust and confidence In the system.
I also think a sort of umpires call on marginal offsides could be applied. Rather than looking for ways to cancel a goal, if the player has no clear advantage and linesman hasn't flagged then the goal should stand.

Good on Wolves for going about this in a coherent and classy manner.
Unfortunately VAR will never be fit for purpose while the standard of refereeing is so poor, which won’t improve while they have the protection of VAR and the PGMOLs lack of impartiality.

Considering we don't get the onfield decisions we would probably benefit from having VAR (if used properly).
It's shit for the match day experience though.
