I`m in the other camp, he needs to be gone after the last game of the season

He has kept us up but by the skin of our teeth. We have made such heavy weather of it and most seasons our points total would be bottom of the table. It’s the continued defensive frailties which worries me. We always come out the wrong end of close games. We can’t afford that next season. It’s probable we will lose our best player to balance the books. That will have a big impact upon the creativity in the team. We need a manager who is going to step up to the plate and make a positive difference like Cooper did when he arrived.
Afcon
VAR Injuries He deserves a first pre season with the squad, and a summer transfer window.

I am Nuno in.
Some of our performances recently especially Fulham, Manchester City and Chelsea have been great and the team has been a joy to watch. Also individual players have improved under Nuno most notably Williams, Murillo, Danilo, Hudson Odi and Wood. Please let us not forget what he has had to contend with because it is really important, please let us try and see the bigger picture. The squad was broken and on it's knees when he came in, that was swiftly followed by Afcon and then players coming back injured, we have had all the weird VAR and refereeing decisions and finally a points deduction, lets us not pretend that has not had a huge affect on things because it clearly has. Yes our points haul could have been better, how defensive displays could have been better but this is not Nunos team and nor are they his defenders. I think he has earned the right to shape his squad the way he wants it and to have another crack at it next season. Having said all that EM will decide not me or you so we will have to wait and see but I am 70-30 Nuno in.

I'm not sold on Nuno but I have got off my fence to say let's stick but only on the basis that we finally set of a style of play and any players we bring in are a fit for that style. I get why we have a range of different players as in the first year we didn't know how we needed to play and we needed all types for all sorts but now we need to bite the bullet and pick a direction. Nuno has been with us for a while and should be in a position to know who fits and where our strengths are to build on.

I think it really doesn’t help that Glasner has been doing fantastically at Palace. We’ll never know how seriously he was considered by us, but it shows how transformational a new manager can be. We had a bit of a bounce against Newcastle and Man U, but it didn’t last. I’m not expecting Palace to keep it up next season, but we would have been safe long before if we had managed to win a few games on the bounce.

Not buying the not his players bit, no manager/head coach gets that at least not at this club, the whole point of head coach is that he works with what he has or is given. Dont give me needs a pre season either because most new arrivals are on deadline day after the season starts. Its not ideal but every head coach has the same issue. VAR, Afcon, injuries, rubbish again every team has that. Other off field issues self inflicted distractions Im afraid.
That said we are mostly playing good football but defensively we look as bad as ever. Conceding 3 goals at home repeatedly is unacceptable. Play bad football but get results = manager stays Play bad football and bad results = manager goes Play good football and bad results = On the fence which is where I am.

I honestly think that is more to do with Olise and Eze being fit again and back in the team than with Glasner.

I think Olise has something like 10 goals and 5 assists in 18 games this season. They’ll struggle to keep hold of both. I suppose it is easier to manage a team with both of those fit and firing, Nuno inherited an injury hit squad and has managed to get a tune out of Wood and Hudson-Odoi

I like Glasner but they have essentially finished where they usually do so it's a good point regarding their two fit attacking players. This highlights the need for minimal change and stability. I'm not sold on Nuno but he was dealt a shit hand and deserves the chance to put things right over the summer. 4/5 signings (all but maybe 1 prem first team ready). Gary O`Neil said earlier in the season most players in the league or similar in quality within 5% with some good and bad exceptions. Which makes sense if the team is well run and on certain games different players give you a few extra %. We should be looking at the likes of Brereton Diaz, Barkley/Hamer who won't be expensive and offer quality proven versatility. Minimal disruption and squad harmony please.
