Contrary to the few who the blame is solely on EM I'd like to think the big man will learn from this and get someone in who will keep a tight ship on this because now its been proven the PL are a bit sharp on it (also depends who you are) and keep us between the lines.

That being said, we've not been able to pick up points this season, so if sold our best players to comply, we'd probably get relegated anyway.

I'm up for keeping our best players and not being ridiculous on our signings next season. Take whatever hit they then throw at us.

Although it's not worked, we could sell enough and release enough to show that we'd be compliant the season after, which the IC would have to take into account in some way shape or form.

The question is ‘how’?
The 2 points debate above developed from an aspiration we might keep our better players (ie Murillo).
By selling the Crown Jewels we take a step back not forward.
And the other teensy weensy point is that of chronology; if we do sell to stay within PSR then we have to do so before end of June. If not then we are in the exact same place as we were with the last PSR saga. And our two month delay argument didn’t go well did it?

If we don’t get the right offer for Murillo before June 30 then we shouldn’t sell; and if we are in breach anyway then we should keep our best players to give us the best chance of overcoming a penalty and staying up again. I happen to think it might be a good time to take the penalty with Leicester and Ipswich coming up- in the same way it has benefited Everton this season as opposed to receiving a deduction last season.

Don’t forget, irrespective of the obiter in the appeal judge’s verdict, the precedent has been set- it’s 6 points for a breach plus aggravation less mitigation; less 2 points for good behaviour and 2 points for having suffered the same penalty already; that’s 3-4 points off the 6 if we don’t have massive losses.

Tactical penalty points- a bit like taking a yellow card on the half way line for the team.

I agree. Except I wouldn't be seriously soliciting offers from murillo. Just pretend,  lip service.

And this just sums up the whole sorry state of affairs. Spurs won’t be the only big 6 club circling like vultures! How is making clubs sell their players for a reduced price just to meet the 30 June deadline meeting what PSR was designed for - oh wait the appeal IC effectively said clubs should do just that rather than try to get best price 

Ironically if Spurs just did this last year with Brennan we wouldn't even be in this mess!

Agree, the PL would start with a minimum of the 8 they tried to give us this year. Everton got 2 points off for the overlapping punishment but unclear if that was partly because both hearings were done in the same season. They may also say that a clear and deliberate breach was an aggravating factor and push for an additional deduction.
We have to comply at all costs unfortunately although I wouldn’t be against some creative accounting if that’s what it takes.

Everton's breach for this season has not been fully concluded, they will have a seperate hearing to there appeal in the summer for further points to be taken off at the start of next year.

Crazy for the coaches and players to to be continually having to put up with this sort of thing as well.
