The Premier League 2023/24
The PL have just tweeted and deleted that Shef U are relegated pending the outcome of Forest and Evertons appeals.

Probably just a formality but not a clever move after recent tweets.

Fair play to Sean Dyche, Everton would be on the same points as Robert De Zerbi’s Brighton without the points deduction, a manager being linked with jobs at Liverpool and Munich.

Indeed- and, apart from 2/3 notable exceptions who would walk into our team such as tarkowski O’Neill Calvert lewin) he’s done it with a team no where near Brighton’s finesse.

What I find strange about this is that apparently, Forest are not able to submit new evidence in appeal. If this is the case, how can we lose additional points? Ahhhhhhhhh...we're dealing with the EPL

They reassess the original evidence with the original verdict and see if it was correctly applied. In other words theoretically they can reinstate the PL call for an 8 point deduction. Which is highly unlikely unless for example we had recently done something which might upset the PL hierarchy…..

They deleted it not long after.

Meanwhile Spurs looking as bad as us at defending corners and Arsenal leading 3-0.

Surely they can only do that if the PL appeal too?

In which case surely they should have appealed / increased it within the same timescale we had?

3-2 now. VAR doing what it *should* and giving Spurs a penalty that Michael Oliver missed on field.

Big Week ahead, hopeful we get 1/2pts back and also beat the Blades

That would hopefully get us over the line.

Have a feeling those expecting points back will be disappointed.
