But Sky commentators said it was check complete albeit very quickly.

unfortunately for the pgmol it seems sky have access to the audio link between ref and var and reported it during the game as being reviewed and cleared…

hopefully this one rumbles on as it is starting to look even worse on the officials
First the points and then the pints….

Has anyone seen Steven Avery and Stuart Atwell in the same room? Thought not

I don't have an issue with var as it works in other sports and has helped to eliminate errors. The problem is that the way it has been implemented in this country is completely flawed.

That Coventry goal was shocking - the player gained no advantage from having his toenail supposedly ahead of the last defender. Nobody appealled for it. No one could see any issue with it and the complete lack of transparency is what is killing the game because the decisions are baffling. And it is this lack of transparency that is fuelling conspiracy theories. It is so easy to resolve, the fact that they haven't only adds fuel to the fire. Is it because they are all mates and it would uncover their unprofessionalism? Ultimately if they have nothing to hide, they have nothing to fear.

And then there are those spaffing on about the fact that without var we would not have had a penalty... I'm not so sure. I think var has made refs less willing to call big decisions and become reliant on var.

Also if the var receiver is worried about highlighting a mistake to an experienced ref, then neither should be involved at this level. That's just arrogance and it breeds complacency and mistakes.

God I hate what Football has become. Sucks the life out of it

All of that describes incompetence not corruption. Nobody would argue against the pgmol being inept. we accused of them conspiring against us.

Never said it was corruption... but only that the fact that there is a lack of transparency is fuelling these ideas that it is corrupt.

You keep saying it's not corrupt when you don't know. None of us do. To just brush it off and say it's not possible is naive in the extreme. Corruption exists in every walk of life and in a business awash with as much money as football is it's quite frankly ludicrous to just brush off the possibility that corruption could exist.

As somebody said earlier, if you are accusing somebody of corruption you need to have evidence that is deliberate and not just being rubbish at your job. show me the evidence which proves Atwell, Howard Webb, conspired to not give us three penalties in a game, and i might believe you

I suspect the premier league and pgmol will care and it will have negative consequences for our football club and probably us as well. You don’t go around making unproven allegations without their being some comeback
