Errm…exactly those ifs and buts ^
As I said, we are all guessing and we all have our own theories as to our intent, who knew what and what happened.

News just in
?? Nottingham Forest’s recent appeal to their 4-point deduction has proved to be unsuccessful.
An independent panel has decided to increase the deduction to 8 points as a result, dropping the club to 18th - level on points with Burnley. #NFFC ??

Everton have to be looking at 8 points for this new loss.
PL requested 8 points for Forest, now Evertons new loss is larger, so is that 10 points for them as a new starting point for points deduction ?

They normally announce after the games are done, so Monday next week is likely as Everton play on this Saturday.

It certainly looks grim for Everton.

So going off ours it’s 3pts for a sanction, 3pts for level of breach, 1pt off for early plea, 1pt off for cooperating. We had no aggravating factors which I assume Everton will have multiple. Probably looking at 6 I reckon.

The guess from the Everton end (which is no better than our guess) is that they will get 4 to take them back to the original 10 deduction. They seem to think our appeal has little to no chance of succeeding but should we be successful in any way you will be able to hear the whiny Scouse screams from here.

A very readable analysis of finances and comparison with other PL clubs. Done by Macguire who I know some don’t like but I found it interesting.
Staggeringly our spending from last season propelled us into the top 20 of European clubs for an entire 10 year period from 2014.

Interesting from that article our squad cost 16% of Man City’s squad, 33% of spurs squad, 50% of Everton’s squad and 75% of Bournemouth’s squad!
Without our spend our squad when it was promoted cost 8m… which isn’t even 1% of Man City’s
Obviously none of this is news to us that have become financial experts in the last couple of months
