Just watched the extended highlights. Couple of things stood out for me that haven't been mentioned I don't think -
- Our first 4 or 5 highlighted attacks all started with Murillo. Seems to choose the right pass forward - they weren't all Hollywood, but he passed to the person in front who had time to turn or run on to his through ball in space, which is a real skill that is probably difficult to coach. I was always coached (in a different sport) that you own your pass until the player you have passed to has moved the ball on to the next person. I would say he was key to our attacking.
- As much as we need to work on our set piece defending, we need to work on shooting first time rather than taking a touch and narrowing our angle. Several chances should have been buried first time, which was something Elanga was doing really well in the first half of the season.
In general though, a really great watch! Keep it up, lads!

He got an assist too! That's why he's being touted for the big bucks though. Seems like his game would really suit a team that had more possession, more so than our team that has to do a lot of defending. Feels like some team in the top half is going to get a bargain in June sadly.

Possibly....though it definitely has more of an impact for a counter-attacking team. He wouldn't have the same space to pass into if he played for a team with loads of possession, sat in the opposition half.
I sincerely hope we don't have to sell anyone significant this summer. I'd almost be inclined to risk another minor deduction (assuming our financial position is improved on the last year we just got slammed for) and try to keep everyone we want to. Especially given that a lot of teams next year are in a very poor financial position and therefore I thin kit unlikely there will be mass punishment or if there is, then others will also lose points.

The pass through a channel of 4 Fulham players to Wood was superb.
That is what gave Wood the time and space to turn and shoot, everyone was wrong footed or out of play.
Nobody saw it coming, it was not the obvious ball to play.

I think I'd prefer to just sell and reset with the full 105m rather than gamble again but your logic makes perfect sense. Particularly with the rules potentially being changed as soon as next summer.

That's the sensible option.....I'm just not sensible. There is a pretty big reset coming regardless, with a lot of players that don't contribute out of contract.
Would love to keep a core squad of Sels, Murillo, Omo, Boly, Aina, Toff, Neco, Sangare, Yates, Danilo, Dominguez, MGW, Elanga, CHO, Taiwo and Wood. That's 16 players.....9 more squad places up for grabs! I wouldn't be upset at keeping Montiel, Tavares, Niakate, Turner and Hennessey but with the first 3 (and Taiwo and Boly) we really need more reliability in regards to injuries. 4 players we can bring in as young deputies with the potential to immediately step in, hopefully in the mould of a Murillo/Omo/Neco/Danilo/MGW/Elanga/CHO.....

Keeping Murillo is key.
We should risk a minor points deduction next season and keep him. It would be stupid to sell him cheaply as everyone knows we want to sell.
Small points deduction and then 25/26 he will be worth a fortune with the new PSR rules in place.
PSR rules are not changing 24/25 and so we know how much over we will be and the risk will be a minor points deduction but we will know that in advance. There will be 6 other clubs who break PSR in 24/25, so lots of points deductions will happen.
