Oops, I clearly don’t understand this stuff then! Ignore my rubbish above but would assume they are looking at a minimum extra 4 points off regardless.

I thought it would be 6? Did Everton admit this breach like we did? Otherwise it’s 3 for beaching and 3 for level of breach which this one seems to be between ours and their last one

Be surprised if it’s less than another 6 points.

The difficulty for Premier League is justifying a punishment for a breach over 3 years when it includes 2 of the years from the last 3 year breach.
That will be their mitigating factor. Some of my legal colleagues are of the opinion the punishment will be divided by 3 and most likely be 2 for the breach. However, the language used in our own decision suggests that whilst premier league do not see a first offence as a mitigating factor (ie previous good behaviour isn't taken into account) they would see multiple breaches as "an aggravating factor" which in law should mean an extra point or two based on legal precedent. However, as already mentioned it appears that the language of the Premier league vs actual decisions by legal experts on commission do not tally and Premier league are making it up as they go along so it's anybodies guess what will happen. Personally, if Everton are solvent, I don't think they (or us) should be losing any points on the pitch. Whole situation is an embarrassment. If Everton and us got our points back then the bottom 3 would look as it should and be cut adrift. The psychological "sporting advantage" handed to Luton by the FA can not be underestimated yet still they are in bottom 3 again. We are better than them and need to continue to show it.

Don’t discount Burnley.

Going to have to watch out for Burnley. 1-0 against wolves at the moment and closing in on the mini league at the bottom now.

Burnley drew and Bournemouth beat palace
Table as it stands now. Hopefully games go in an out favour tomorrow and that doesn’t change. Everton have Burnley Saturday which might be season defining once we know of their new deductions, they’re game in hand is against Liverpool I think too? We also have to play both Burnley and the blades before the season end

That would do wonders for the goal difference which is looking a bit healthier tonight. And with us against a very unpredictable spurs team at the weekend, now would be a great time to pick up a first away win since Christmas- although anything would be a bonus

I just noticed we play sheff utd away the same time Luton play Everton. That is going to be a big weekend.

2 points behind Brentford.
If neither Forest or Everton had been deducted points then Brentford would be 4th bottom Brentford currently bottom of the form table with 5 points from their last 10 games (unfortunately 3 vs us) They are still very much in it.
