So wadda we think of Sels? Clean sheet last week but Conceded 4 today, none absolutely his fault but at the same time could he have done more?

Is he honestly better than our other keepers on evidence so far.? As a reminder Odysseus kept a clean sheet vs Villa a few months back.

He's not brilliant but he doesnt throw one in every week either. I guess we knew this is how he would be.

Came across this earlier on an Athletic article.

The stats do not read kindly for us. On their keeper xG model we are rated the worst as a team and Matt Turner is rated the worst keeper in the league. Ody is marginally behind him, Dean Henderson and Sam Johnstone also closely in contention funnily enough. Sels has moved up a little after today it seems.

Yes he is much better than the other 2.

Based on any actual evidence or an assumption that he must be better than the others because they aren’t good enough?

Not having a pop at you specifically, just think quite a few think like this.

Personally I dont think Sels is either better or worse from what I have seen so far.

He’s clearly better with the ball at his feet.
That has a massive difference to the back 4 being more confident to keep a higher line and play out from the back. Additionally, the opposition don’t bother pressing him like they did Turner. That aspect has been a significant difference to us and how we want to play.

With regards to his shot stopping, then no better than the others. 

If we stay up I expect him to settle in as a no2 behind a new keeper in the summer. 4th time lucky?

He needs psychological help IMO otherwise he will never be consistently good enough.
