Current Players Thread
Felipe has announced he'll be leaving at the end of the season. Not a surprise and a shame injury has limited his playing time this year, but his contribution last season won't be forgotten.

So he'll still be leaving then.

Yes but leaving could imply he's going elsewhere, whereas he has announced he is hanging up his boots.

In all the other talk people seem to have stopped discussing the actual team.

To bring this back on the table…….what the hell has happened to Taiwo???

Im not buying the coming back from injury thing any more. Its been over 6 weeks since he has been back playing and has participated in 9 games in that time.

He looks a shadow of the player he was right now. Sure he scored a couple in his first few games but looked well off the pace even then and hasn’t particularly improved since. Nothing to suggest his pace, fitness or sharpness is even improving.

Surely its not just me who is worried? His form is integral to our survival hopes.

He has to be playing injured Salv. He's come back from other injuries before and he's been fine.

Doesn’t add up to me Pap, the playing injured bit.

For a start his op was meant to resolve the injury.

Then if he is meant to be managing playing time why did he play a full 100 mins vs Man U in the cup in an ultimately meaningless game?

Perhaps the opp hasnt sorted him out and his problem has been exacerbated by coming back too soon? Perhaps he played 90 minutes to push his fitness to see if the injury was a serious impediment. Perhaps Nuno thought he needed pushing and Man Utd was the game to do it. As you say he's going backwards. It can only be an injury imo.

It’s pretty evident that his body shape has changed, I’m not quite sure whether that was a direction from the club or the player and have no idea whether that is impacting his game but it’s there for everyone to see.

As it stands I would start Wood over Taiwo personally.

Agreed, I also want to see some semblance of a £30m midfielder...

Taiwo has credit in the bank with form but not fitness. I think id start him for 60 mins at this stage because Wood has a strong record off the bench. It's a great opportunity on Saturday to get a goal and some form. If fitness doesn't improve I'd cash in.

Sangare has done nothing and our January recruitment was as expected shite. We must be the only club to bring in players to strengthen that don't feature. And here we are moaning about sanctions when it's a regular trend.

Agree. What was the point in Reyna if he's never going to play
