We seem to raise our game against the better teams to be honest so I’m not sure how you reach that conclusion.
I'd imagine that's based on our wins this season have been prodominently against teams in the top 10.
With the exception of when we play each, Luton only play Bournemouth from the bottom half, in the selection of fixtures being discussed.
It doesnt matter who plays who at the end of the day. The bottom line is if we carry on playing the way we did against Brighton, we will go down. Plain and simple.
The players have got to start getting their S**t together and not playing S**t.
The manager has got to approach each game as though we are playing Liverpool or United again. We were good enough against both of those sides way past the 90 minute mark. We were unfortunate against the scousers (understatement I know) but they are one of the best teams in Europe, if not the world at the present time. We need to apply that same mentality and determination against the sides we have still got to play. If we do that we will be sound. If not, we will be toast!!
I agree to a certain extent but it’s not inconceivable to accept that some players raise their game against the bigger teams.

Yes but you're missing the point that even if they do raise their games, that doesn't mean they're as good as the bigger teams, just a bit closer.
The bigger teams tend to give you more space and press higher so it allows more opportunity in certain scenarios than if a decent also sits deep.

It was my original point that was being commented on.
“ We seem to raise our game against the better teams”
I didn’t say we get better results.

You implied you'd rather have Luton's fixtures which would suggest you believe we get better results otherwise why would you want that?

You reading into something that isn’t there. I don’t think it matters who we play at present. I also said that history shows us that we generally perform better against the better teams.

Luton at least have Spurs and Arsenal away in the next two games. We have Palace and Fulham at home, big chance to go back ahead of Luton if we do get a 6 pointer.
Brentford and Everton are very in this too.
Palace/Fulham double header is the season really. Hopefully we can have a couple of our big home crowd games and win at least one.

Don't trust Spurs vs Luton either.

Controversial opinion for some….
We need to stop leaking goals. We need to stop conceding defensive headers.
Drop Murillo for Niakhate.
We can only put up with the “hes still learning” arguments so long.

Controversial response - could we push Murillo into a CDM role, Niakhate to CD and would this strengthen midfield? Murillo seems comfortable on the ball, can pass and offers more defensive cover if the full backs push on?
