Their 2nd deduction will be likely 2 points like ours as it's only over 1 year of the 3 year period in which 2 of those years they have already lost points for.

The same applies to us, this is why our deduction will be much lower than there 6 points as the 2 seasons prior we where in the EFL.

I don’t think that holds much water and they are dreaming up imaginary rules that might save them although to be honest there is a bit of that going on here as well.

The above argument is arse... They are essentially saying if you go mad in a single year providing you don't in the subsequent 2 you can only be punished once over the 3 years otherwise "it's not fair"

Sounds like most of the theories being rolled out on here.

It has to be that as there is no precedent for this sort of scenario. We need to develop some form of it being us v the world, whilst remaining humble. I think Nuno could be the key to us being successful.

Maguire appears as an ffp expert on many different media outlets and likes the sound of his own voice imo. He obviously knows a lot about the subject (I'm not trying to shout him down) but he doesn't offer much insight into the nitty-gritty details of these cases, just spends his time broadly explaining what the rules are. Having said that, he was responsible for bringing The Sheep's dodgy amortisation practices to the attention of the EFL a few years back, so we've got to be thankful of him for that.

The expert on Talksport yesterday came across as being much more knowledgeable about Everton's case, he'd studied the judgement, clearly knew the case inside out and offered opinions based on the legal situation as he understood it

They're primarily talking about Everton but our case gets a mention in the last five minutes or so.

It says he's been in there at the heart of matters, dealing with this kind of stuff day to day? I believe he's a lawyer too so understands legal process, whereas Maguire is a uni lecturer in accounting. But I know nothing about the guy so cant offer any more of an opinion.
