The prem is horrible, the politics, the media and the officiating ect.

But one thing I have realised these last two years I've never celebrated goals like it. Every goal is a trophy because it's worth so much more. The stakes have never been higher in top flight football.

Half the time I hesitate to celebrate fully because of VAR. Yesterday at Villa, I was nervous about possible offsides due to the nature of our goals.

Everton's 10 points deduction has been reduced to just 6

It is a bit unfair on Everton if they get points deductions for two separate seasons given to them in the same season. Also, the double jeopardy thing seems unfair too.

That said they'd have gone down with -6 last season so they have got away with one there. Although the deduction really should've applied to the year before we went up, no idea where they finished that year. Probably 16th-17th.

As you say though it should have been last season, and the other season because the prem league have mandated it should be because us and others complained

“The chair of the commission, David Phillips KC, also referenced applications for financial compensation from current Premier League clubs Burnley and Nottingham Forest and last season's relegated sides, Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton.

Phillips said he was "satisfied that the applicant clubs have potential claims for compensation" - but noted the commission holds no "inherent jurisdiction" and it is instead "the role of the Premier League to bring and prosecute complaints".

This really is looking somewhat less than the cleverest move now.
