If.this is true I hope we go down whatever legal route available to us should we be sanctioned harshly

I don't believe we'll get relegated or even deducted points. I can't say I fully understand the ffp rules but I gather that if we sold Johnson earlier in the window we would've been fine but we had the right and sensible buisness practice to wait to get the best possible price for a homegrown player and really the rules should reflect that.

Fingers crossed mate! I’d love another year with Nuno in the prem. really think we’ll kick on

Was told today that the Premiership are wanting their pound of flesh from us - EM scares the establishment with his wealth and links to further resources.

2023-24 accounts for nearly all clubs except wolves (because of their willingness to stick to an imposed FA plan after a ‘potential’ breach) Brentford and Brighton plus the promoted clubs (Burnley a bit close too apparently) are showing under the current rules they would be charged.

Hence all clubs  led by the big 6 are now ganging up to change the rules.

This is a ridiculous situation and one in which we won’t come out of easily as people expect.

It’s got zero to do with the EPL in respect of the punishment.
This is all in the hands of the independent panel.
Anyone with any kind of understanding will see we haven’t broken the spirit of PSR

What I find amazing is the number of people who have been tipped off as to our punishment.

I am waiting for my "tip" regarding the punishment. It must be delayed in the mail.

It’s surprising who doesn’t know now it seems…

Everyone but us by the looks of it.

Like I said before there is no way EM will just roll over like a soppy old dog if we get a deduction, it's just not his way especially if he thinks we have been wronged.

It could all get very ugly.

Not sure if it is just a coincidence but he has just appointed the top lawyer in Greece onto the board of Olympiakos.
Panic on the streets of London

Thank you, I’ve got tired of saying it.

It seems Wolves got a plan, complied and no deduction.
Everton got a warning didn’t comply and were punished
What warning did we have? None. But even if we did we have rectified within 8 weeks.

This is where legal arguments ensue about standard accounting practice (which applies to all and the PL can’t dismiss), precedents being set (Everton/possibly Wolves) and the equitable nature of process change (ie the PL moving the goalposts).

The only caveat is if we are a political sacrificial lamb… at which point the blue touch paper will be lit.

What you are talking about above is mitigating circumstances which could reduce the punishment but not necessarily.

Complying with the spirit of PSR.
Not having a warning
Goalposts being moved
Next season rules are changed.

All well and good, except the basic underlying fact:
Nottingham Forest breached P&S rules for season 22/23

I keep seeing the word ‘spirit’ but these are Rules not Guidelines. There is a distinct difference between the two.

Rules prescribe conduct.

Guidelines dictate principles and provide direction as to behaviour.

It’s a very important difference.

I do hope that a large point of our case doesn’t rest on this.

I do think Nick De Marco is a bit more cleverer than that and by all accounts the man is one of the best in his game and we should be quietly confident on the findings no matter what all the on screen pundits might think. They know absolutely F**K ALL.
