Regards defending we are not defending well as a team.

Agreed on goal contributions and particularly link with Dominguez (who is my favourite player right now)

What is killing us is soft goals due to individual mistakes and IMO Montiel is culpable as are quite a few others.

Montiel and Tavares are poor defenders

How have each of them had the opportunity to prove that they're either poor or good? They've played a handful of games between them both. We're so quick to come to conclusions. The side, and back 5 in particular, is being chopped and changed every game atm for one reason or another. I've seen enough in Montiel to know he's got something. Less so for Tavares admittedly, but let's give them a chance to bed in before we write them off.

As much as I've been unimpressed with both, you are 100% right, we should give them time to settle and prove their worth. Just look at Lodi last year.

That said, if you've seen Tavares recent social media posts you might change your tune!

I agree! My concern is both of them seem to have something that could potentially drag our name through the dirt. Montiel with the sex allegations against him, although we havent heard anything about that since he arrived, so maybe that has gone away and then you have Tavares deep throating with dogs FFS!!!

TBH, I would definitely persevere with Montiel. An Argentinian international is not to be sniffed at. He just needs time to settle into the side and to become accustomed to the PL. Tavares, I am not so sure about. He does have something about him, but he doesnt seem to have any consistency about him.

No, Nino the Brazilian was nailed on but after news of our FFP struggles broke we couldn't agree on a way to structure the fee so he went to Russia. The Brazilians wanted the money up front which we were willing to do until we were forced to change our plans. All that happened before we sold Mangala.

'Forced to change our plans'. Probably instructed by De Marco not to take the piss!

Thought Murillo was outstanding at Bournemouth.

A touch of the Des Walker about his performance yesterday.

Yes much better from him. I feared the worst after the early corner but he handled Solanke better than many far more experienced centre backs have this season.

We need to enjoy and appreciate Murillo while he is here because he is going right to the very top to a club like Real Madrid or Manchester City.

Who would have thought a couple of years ago that we would have a centre back pairing of two Brazilians. It was great to see Felipe back today.

This is our opinion but he doesn't yet seem to be attracting much national attention, let alone international.

Yes that is right Pap but we need to appreciate him while he is here whether it is one year, two years or three years.

He is still young and still learning but his talent and potential is off scale.
