Nottingham Forest - Newcastle United

I guess you always need to look for the positives and I think we do look pretty good going forward. IF we can stop these idiotic mistakes we’ll be okay. If not, I think it’ll be so sad that a team as close to getting it right as we are go down.

Yep that’s fine. Keep convincing yourself thats the problem and hold up your “Premier League Corrupt as xxxx” card in the Championship and see if anyone else in the country cares.

Salv, if the penalty is given we go 3-2 ahead after being behind twice. The CG is rocking and Newcastle are flat as a pancake. You tell me that one decison didnt change the result.

Literally club’s fans are convinced referees and VAR is biased against them. I guarantee Newcastle fans will be moaning they should have won by more but for this or that decision.

I’m right behind the goal, most of us didn’t think pen, T had already lost control of the ball. I accept I haven’t watched it back, can’t be arsed to see the motd / Shearer smugfest.

People are deflecting from the real problem which is our goals conceded.

I was surprised everyone was so adamant, I thought the one on Elanga in 1st half was worse. Taiwo had already lost the ball so wasn't really blocked

We've had more bad decisions go against us than for us this year so we have been unlucky but you can make your own luck.

For example, Taiwo could've taken an even semi decent touch and he'd have scored easily. A pen would've just been bailing him out for a bad miss.

Long way to go but things need to improve or were shafted

Im feeling pretty shafted atm. This was a poor loss. We could/should have done them tonight. We had more than enough.

Maybe watch it back then? Because it’s a blatant penalty.

I agree about our goals conceded Salv but ive just watched motd. Penalty should have been given according to shearer & Keown. So thats the bbc and sky,  and the entire f*****g world except the dickhead of a ref and his mates in the var. What the f**k is going on with these kind of decisons? We've been robbed, again.

Oh and the blatant block for their 3rd goal was laughed off as an nfl block on motd. Ha ha very f*****g funny Shearer. He was a cheating bastard himself iirc.

It says something when shearer says it was definitely a penalty and yes, they definitely implied it was a very robust block on dominguez.

Anyway. We get no points. Need to lick our wounds and go on a run. Otherwise, we're buggered.

I don’t see how calling out potentially game changing decisions means you deflect from the fact we concede goals way too easily.

Sky commentators apparently said it was a pen (on my way back to London so not seen MOTD). As stated above, if we’d gone 3-2 up chances are we would have won despite conceding goals too easily.

So of course you need to highlight the fact a decision potentially cost us. But that doesn’t mean you’re not painfully aware of how crap our defending was.

Seen the highlights. It was a penalty. Dominguez body blocked by Byrne to stop him getting the ball ahead of Bruno. So yes, bad mistakes cost the game. But equally so did bad decisions. Both need to be recognise because both are costing us big time.
