I think it could get ugly if they try to deduct points.
No way we will roll over like a soppy old dog.
I'm not sure what you're implying by ugly but there's literally nothing we can do if an independent panel gives us a points deduction, the rules are set in stone.
I think our lawyer might have a different opinion Wassy.
The independent panel's verdict is final, its written into the PL rules. Not saying he won't fight a good case before it reaches that stage of course.
I believe that either party can go to an appeals panel and after that arbitration. If that failed either party could try to find an argument to take to the high court. What either party cannot do though is take it to the court of arbitration for sports in Switzerland.
No that's not the PL rules, the independent panel is essentially the appeals panel. They have the final say, can't take it to court either. Its in the PL rules specifically for this instance.

Fair enough! I'm sure I'd read it was final, I guess Everton are appealing their's too in hindsight. I just can't see how it works out in our favour. No-one else has successfully challenged one of these cases before, I'm not sure why we'd be the first.

Lets see what happens now...
Far more to it also than the Brennan timing.
Club feel let down by Prem ……..
Led us up the garden path.

Whatever the independent panel gives is NOT final.
There is then another appeal process which results in the season having finished before teams know their fate.
There is much more to this than the Brennan money. Goal posts have been moved by the Prem.
There is no way we will accept a points deduction if that is the outcome.
We feel very strongly and will go all the way if necessary.
What “goal posts have been moved”?

Do we want them to get some points back?

I’d say so, as that can only benefit us, although the 2 cases are chalk and cheese

I think it will get reduced to 5, then they get another 5 for the latest breach. So won’t make a difference.

The Man Utd cup tie will be on bbc1. We get £125k for being on tv.
The prize money for winning the 4th round (Bristol) is £120k.
(An additional £225k if we beat MU).

Next in the whole PSR saga is the result of Everton's appeal - no fixed date but probably sometime next week.

Do we think they have a good case? I've not read up on Everton's breaches so no idea if it's it's deserved or if they really are being hard done to
