It angered me

Is Danilo worth the money we paid for him?

Definitely.

I admit he is a bit hot and cold at the moment and that free kick was poor.

However what about that superb piece of control and volley into the back of the net at Brentford?
Panic on the streets of London

I thought Danilo was a CDM when he was playing in Brazil? He seems to be being asked to play AML or AMC. He seemed to want to be in the same places as Mangala last night. We seemed to struggle for a forward ball in the centre as a result

When MGW is back he drops back to his CDM role with the licence to support. The issue was we had Yates and Mangala wanting to do the same role. Because of that the defence dropped deeper to try and create room. As soon as MGW came on we had a pass further forward centrally and space for the pivot points to collect the ball and turn.

Danilo wasn’t great last night and don’t get me started on the free kick. However he was our best player vs Brentford IMO and probably had his best game in a Forest shirt too.
Think he has huge natural ability but like a few of our squad he is learning and we are dropping points because mistakes some youngsters are making. However I will take that every time rather than seeing some over paid over the hill journey man playing for us.

Bristol City are no mugs and Ashton Gate is a difficult place to go, ask West Ham.

We were depleted with about 10 players missing.

I will take the draw and hopefully we will finish the job at the CG.

Yep we should have most of AFCON players for the replay and hopefully the injured players to. not sure new signings can play though

If there is any ire in terms of individual performance last night it should be levelled at CHO.

His lack of bottle to win headers or 60:40 tackles in his favour is shocking.

He doesn’t do enough to justify being part of the 25 man squad.

We really miss Elanga.

There are remnants in CHO play which show why he was such a massive prospect at Chelsea. His first touch remains excellent. He can still put in a good cross with his right foot as seen by Woods goal at Brentford. The big issue for him is a loss of pace which means he can’t go past defenders on the outside. He is playing in the same position as Robbo who had much less pace still but his left foot was so good he he didn’t need pace to go both ways. If CHO could improve his delivery with his left foot he could become a very useful player again but at 23 those kind of skills are usually already developed.

Think what User is referring to is CHO’s lack of all round contribution, goes missing for long periods, offers next to nothing defensively etc. His occasional flash of quality isn’t in doubt although he has clearly lost some pace too.

He still has a burst of pace but is scared to use it. The ball for woods goal was great and his goal against Burnley prove he still has it but these are fleeting glimpses.

Would we take Maidstone away in the draw?
