If a German or Argentine did that against England in a World Cup final would they be saying the same thing then?
Whilst I agree Im pretty certain the moving the ball thing happens a fair bit, just doesn’t usually result in a direct goal.
All this nonsense about cheating is deflecting from the more pertinent point that we are absolutely shit at defending set pieces and seemingly find a new way to concede from them every week.

Moving the ball probably does to an extent moving the foam so the ref can’t tell it’s been moved a whole yard, whilst our guys set up a wall for where it originally was is blatant cheating. Who knows what would have happened if the ball was where it was suppose to be!

Yes it's the equivalent of Turner picking up the goal and moving it a yard to his right.

Who knows what would have happened had Turner positioned his wall properly, I f Hudson Odoi hadnt stood like a spare part and had any one of our outfield players paid attention to what was going on.

There is a lack of leadership though and I question the wisdom of having both centre backs as raw and inexperienced.
True although it was a bit half hearted in my view.
Yates should have left the wall and gone over to speak with Turner in my opinion to clarify everything.
Everything about it was just so half arsed.
And why didn’t we have someone on the post perhaps seeing as we knew from last season Toney would aim for that corner? As soon as the freekick was given you could see what was going to happen.
Yes that is a good point Bomber.
CHO for example would have been much better on the post instead of being in no man's land.
So so poor when we look back on that incident now and it could have been so easily avoided.
IMO, if we had had somebody on the near post, that would have allowed them to come right in on goal with no chance of being offside, should they have looked at that option, surely?
From my playing days, we were always told that you use the second player in the wall as the line between near post and the ball, which means the first player (furthest outside) should provide cover for any swerve around the wall. Toney saw the first player was probably where the second player shouldve been, hence why he moved the ball half a yard. If CHO has stood in the wall rather than where he was, Toneys effort wouldve either hit him or gone into him.
For me, Yates was right to question Turners decision. For Turner to give the thumbs up puts the blame firmly on his own shoulders.
I'm going to be controversial now...........So far both Vlad and Turner have not been up to the task. Why not give Hennesey a shot? He can't be any worse than what we are using now
This is all spot on Tricky.
One thing on Hennessy, he is not good enough. He should not even be our third choice.

Its the same with the diving. When Michael Owen started going down at the feel of the slightest of touches it was deemed by the pundits him being a good pro. I remember one pundit saying there's nothing in the rules to say you have to stand up if challenged.
In this day and age with decent podcasters and u tubers around, I'm of the opinion that as well as ex footballers, there should be articulate fans sitting in the studios. They might be more inclined to call the cheating out.

Forest have written to Howard Webb, after Ivan Toney moved the ball and vanishing spray ahead of Brentford first goal. Ref told club officials post match it isn’t under VAR remit. Forest want answers on whether Toney broke the rules, and if VAR could have intervened.

Will it make a difference? No
Have we had an apology after the Bournemouth fiasco? No
Will it make the PL show some sympathy towards us about potential points deductions? No
Would any of this mattered if 11 Forest players learned the basics of how to defend a set piece? No

Absolutely agree.
That said, if the boot was on the other foot and, say Gibbs white did that and scored, would we call him out on it? Obviously would not happen because mgw is not a cheating know.
Is it the ol' big head influencing us. You don't win, if you win cheating.

I think from the Forest end is we have been subject to a lot of really bad decisions to which the refs admit to after the fact and it has to stop. We need to get it on record for when the time comes perhaps we might god forbid go down some legal route for something or another. Yes we should've done better with the free kick but then we need a competent ref as well.
If I was thinking like a conspiracy theorists then I would say there's an agenda against Nottingham Forest and the refs and VAR are complicit in it.

I was just gonna post similar, Brentford fans would be crucifying him if he’d even moved the ball that far but I doubt any of us would be defending him, unlike their fans who are licking his arse, need them and that club out of this league
